1. I see MLB was so impressed with how Andy Fletcher handled balls and strikes for Game 1 of the Twins-Jays series that they gave him the plate for Game 1 (and possibly 7) of the NLCS.

2. By this time tomorrow Mrs Runner and I should be home, airport connections willing. It was an entertaining trip and it certainly made some memories. Northern Italian (and Swiss) food was great, and to us it seemed like the key was fewer (and fresher) ingredients -- simpler recipes. I also learned that I like a glass of Hugo Spritz even better than an Aperol Spritz.
