   Scherzer is not doing so great. Three runs given up in the second and another in the third.

2. At least it didn't take until the fifth inning for the Twins to get a hit off Javier.

3. Had the game on when I was gaming the local establishment in trivia. I don't particularly like either team, but going for T-Rax* without much question. Hope they keep crawling back.

   *Texas + Rangers? Is that anything? Probably not...

4. D'backs finally get a win by walking off the Phillies.

   1. Unraveling quickly in the top of the fourth though.

6. Alvarez almost mishit that sacrifice fly into a grand slam.

   1. Abreu effectively does that with a three-run homer next. Rangers brought in a lefty for Alvarez and Abreu makes it hurt. All too familiar.

8. A home team has not lead at all in the ALCS.

   1. Ended in the bottom of the sixth.

9. I tuned in as Dusty was heading out. Not sure what happened.

   1. Garcia hit a home run a couple innings ago and understandably strutted. His next AB he took the first pitch in the arm and understandably got mad. Dusty was upset and yelling that it didn't make sense to hit him, so he got tossed. (it didn't make sense to hit him, but it was totally on purpose.)

10. I feel for the rangers. Kinda. But then again, I only have negative feelings for Texas writ large.

11. I’m in the most typical Mille lacs bar you can imagine. This place is central casting for the Minnesota accent. We saw 6 couples, all retirement age, eat dinner together. They gender segregated and all the dudes ate at one table while the ladies ate at another. No one really talked to each other until it was time to leave and then it was all warmth and long goodbyes.

    1. Heh.

       We went out tonight for Friday all-you-can-eat fish fry. (Alaskan Pollock, not walleye. Boo.)

12. Back-to-back losses for Kimbrel. Ouch.

    1. Luckily, fans in Philadelphia are known for being level-headed and forgiving.

       1. I saw recently the article about the Philadelphia standing O for Trea Turner when he was at the nadir of his season in early August. I was a little surprised given that reputation. But then we went on that ridiculous tear and [obligatory ZG FB reference] single-handedly bumped me up a couple spots in our league.

13. You'd think they would check the PitchCom before first pitch. Maybe use it during the warmup pitches for instance.

14. Not a good slide by Harper but Moreno kind of slammed into him. Props to Harper for checking on him and getting him out of the way.

17. Final day of the season with at least two games on. Arizona doing their best to give us one more game before the long wait to the World Series.

18. it feels like no lead is safe against the Phillies

    1. Phillies fans think the lead is safe now.

19. Almost the minimum in the Division series but both LCS go the full seven games. Still a chance for all new teams in the WS.

20. Not the start the Astros were looking for. Javier out after recording a single out.

21. I can't imagine dodging shrapnel is an ideal situation for a left fielder.

22. Scherzer lowers Alvarez's OPS with the unintentional intentional walk.

23. Adolis Garcia’s homer was a genuine actual Spooky for me. It’s not dead!

    1. i just spookied an interception.

       1. I didn’t, which made it all the better.

24. Evan Carter is not having a good day in left field.

25. Man, I can’t root for Houston and I can’t stand the rangers. To quote the dread pirate, I’ll root for the umps.

26. Away team wins all seven games in the NLCS. They’re the anti-championship Twins.

    1. This is the second time that's happened. Houston has hosted both and Scherzer has started both Game 7s for the away team.
