Estrellas lost to Licey 2-0 yesterday. A note to the box score indicates this ties the series at 2-2. I don't know how many games they play. Miguel Sano was 0-for-2. Raul Valdes started and took the loss, pitching four innings and giving up an unearned run on six hits and a walk and striking out two.
Caribes did not play yesterday. I can't tell for sure, but it looks to me as if their season may be over. They are in eighth (last) place, so they presumably would not qualify for any playoffs.
Taking with Mrs. Twayn last night about my brushes with death and all the surgery scars I have now (more than a dozen) and I joked that I’m like a cross between Harry Potter and John Snow. She paused a beat and said, “That’s you alright. The bastard who lived.”
