It's possible I have no idea what's going on with the Twins. Being unable to watch the games makes it hard to bother staying in the loop for such a bad team.

Mayweather beats Cotto, and Harris.
Hey Magoo -- another nice Lew
Here's a gif of the call down the 3B line for Johan's no-hitter. (h/t Deadspin)

Normally I'd say it doesn't really matter, but the idea of taunting Mets fans with this is also very tempting.
I had no idea Johan threw a no-hitter until I got up this morning. I'm glad he was the one to do it. And that ball that was called foul is about as close to being foul as can be while still being fair, and then it angled pretty sharply into foul territory. I think that would be like a bang-bang play at first.
Maybe so, but it was still clearly the wrong call and if it had been made correctly, there would have been no no-hitter. Period.
I know if I was an umpire I would much rather call a fair ball foul than vice versa in that situation. I don't think that ump will be having to make any public apologies to the Cardinals.
there was no play on that ball -- it was probably a double
I think he meant that the call was similar to a bang-bang play.
ah! except a bang-bang play doesn't leave a crater in the chalk line, but yeah.
Well yeah, there's that.
Wait, wait, everyone, I need to check the chalk line. ... Yep, that was a fair ball. Keep going.
I miss Johan. He's still my favorite pitcher.
I'm thinking I'm going to need a pinch hitter on the game log tonight. I'm pretty sure I won't be at a computer until after 6.
I've had a good run so far this season -- I'll pinch hit for you.
I just made one, but you can delete it if you want.
you didn't even look to see that I had one already?! And some quality
photoshoppingMSPainting, too!I looked and read it as 06/12 not 06/02 π
Ha! Game 42? Half-bakedf!
@dadboner takes on the new Miller Lite cans:
Man up.
Miller 12 Gauges
awesome.
Yeah, that deserves a "point".
here is a link to the FOX baseball game in your region tonight.
Oh yay, Cincinnati/Houston.
I really like the smattering of Cubs/Giants in the sea of Yankees/Tigers in southern Georgia.
yeah, that's a headscratcher.
I wonder if a player from that area is playing, or that local affiliate prefers Cubs over Yankees
I think it's hilarious that Alaska and Hawaii are subjected to the nyy game.
It is nice to know that since MLB considers me a part of both the Cleveland AND NY market that they picked the team father away from me to be my local broadcast.
It's kind of ridiculous to consider either the Twins/Indians game or the Padres/D-Backs game to be national broadcasts.
Scroll down to the May 26th game to see some very interesting gerrymandering. I can sort of get Baltimore getting the Tampa/Boston game since they're in the same division, but San Diego also? And most of western Virginia. Part of southwestern Texas gets Anaheim/Seattle and so does the middle of Montana.
Hawk Harrelson toned during his ripping of the umpire 'Cowboy' Joe West for a balk call on a Sox pitcher. He just kinda chuckled and said 'thats not a balk'.
Ichiro has hit 2 jacks this game, but Sox still lead.
Doc, I'd like to send you one of these, but I know you can get it at bevmo.
meat, my feelings would not be hurt if one of those showed up on my doorstep. But not necessary.
