      1. That's happened to me a few times. There were tons of the complaints and the asshole MLB Customer "Service" guy said "These are the rules. Deal with it" on the thread where the complaints were logged. No admission of the fact that it wasn't the FOX national game, and that there was no good reason for them to black out the game. Protecting their right to be correct, even when they clearly weren't, was more important to them than serving their customers.

        1. I find that if you politely write your state attorney general, it tends to get MLB's asses in line.

NOTE: May not work outside of Illinois.

Full story: In college I didn't have a credit card so I used my parents' card and paid them back in cash. When I finally got one and got the spring e-mail where MLB tells you they are going to charge another 100 bucks on your card whether you like it or not unless you email them otherwise, I e-mailed them and told them not to renew and paid for MLB.tv with my own credit card.

A couple weeks later I get a call from my mom telling me they got charged for it even though I told them not to. She talks to a MLB CSR 3 times to get it charged back. Every single time they say they will do it. They never do. Hence the letter to the state attorney general, after which they quickly took it off.

        2. That story had nothing to do with blackout rules I know, but I think it illustrates how MLB's customer service generally treats its customers.

  1. Crap. I was hoping to watch the second game delayed after football, but I guess I'll have to listen to it live instead. How did we get three guys thrown out at home in one inning? Has that ever happened?

    1. bases loaded no one out. infield chopper to 1b to the C for 1. then an attempted double play was foiled when the C decided to heave one to Canada, but then Ben Revere was caught napping off 3B to complete the DP. High comedy.

  2. If that ball has been called a strike all day, then maybe it shouldn't have been called a strike all day? It was a few inches outside the black.

  3. good for Carroll. the crowd mic was picking up some belligerent Tigers fans really razzing him that at bat

  4. Sweet...GameDay makes me imagine what it looked like, but 'In play, run(s)' is something I'll take!

  5. Carroll's 39 RBI this year is a career high. he had 40 in his 2 years combined playing for the Dodgers
