ORIENTE 3, LICEY 2 IN LICEY
Twins: Dan Rohlfing (Licey) was used on defense but did not bat.
Oriente: Elian Herrera (Milwaukee) was 2-for-4 with a walk. Audy Ciriaco was 2-for-5 with two runs. Evan MacLane pitched five innings, giving up two unearned runs on five hits and two walks.
Licey: Anderson Hernandez was 1-for-3 with a walk and a double, scoring once. Alex Hassan (Boston) was 1-for-2 with two walks. Ramon Ortiz (Toronto) pitched five innings, allowing one run on six hits and no walks with one strikeout.
The game: Licey scored two in the fourth on an error. An RBI ground out in the fifth and a run-scoring single by Alex Valdez in the sixth tied it up. Alfredo Marte delivered an RBI single in the eighth to give Oriente the lead. Licey got men on base in both the eighth and the ninth but could not score.
ESCOGIDO 5, AGUILAS 2 IN AGUILAS
Twins: Jorge Polanco (Escogido) was 1-for-5. Danny Santana (Aguilas) was 2-for-4 with a double.
Escogido: Wilkin Castillo was 3-for-4 with a walk and two doubles, scoring twice and driving in one. Erik Gonzalez (Cleveland) was 2-for-5 with a triple, scoring once and driving in one. Kameron Loe pitched six shutout innings, giving up three hits and no walks with four strikeouts.
Aguilas: Francisco Pena (Kansas City) was 2-for-3 with a home run, his second. Hector Luna was 1-for-4 with a home run, his second. Angel Castro pitched seven innings, allowing two unearned runs on eight hits and two walks with six strikeouts.
The game: Escogido scored two in the second on a sacrifice fly and an error. It stayed 2-0 until the eighth, when Castillo had an RBI double and Gonzalez an RBI triple to make it 4-0. Pena's homer made it 4-1 through eight, but that was as close as Aguilas would come. Each team scored once in the ninth.
CIBAO 12, ESTE 0 IN ESTE

Cibao: Francisco Peguero (Baltimore) was 3-for-5 with a three-run homer (his third), scoring twice. Leury Garcia was 2-for-4 with a walk and a run. Rudy Owens (Houston) pitched five innings, giving up one hit and three walks with four strikeouts.
Este: Esteban German was 0-for-2 with two walks.
The game: A squeeze bunt put Cibao ahead 1-0 in the third. Peguero hit a three-run homer in the fourth and five singles produced three more runs in the fifth to make the score 7-0 and put Cibao firmly in control. Cibao got a man to third base in the first, the seventh, and the eighth.
