Me too because I was very concerned we were gonna get Rick Sutcliffe, but we didn't!
Bender in the glass. Brats on the plate, sitting on the patio with a light breeze. Ready for baseball.
What a beautiful day.
Red wine, pasta dinner, a couple Guinnesses down and oh yeah.
I get to watch this game!
warm, smoked potato salad, smoked green beans, grilled flatbread with goat cheese, tomatoes and basil, smoked tri-tip (marinated in garlic, ginger, light and dark soy, olive oil, chili paste, fish sauce, and rice vinegar). And beer!
Not a good start....
They forgot to score first, before giving up the give back runs.
That is Crisp's 12th career HR against the Twins, the most he has hit against any other team (122 career HRs)
I'm excited for my first live look at the robbie Grossman experience.
ESPN folks really talking up Miguel Sano.
on the board!
Take back runs are pretty cool.
Nice play by Dozier on that Bases Loaded 2 home run cut.
It'd be cool if ESPN could modify it's strike zone box to match the actual called zone as the game progresses.
That is a really good idea.
Because Dazzle and Provus always bring up this thing about whether Dazzle was any good in day games (I don't actually remember that being a thing when he played, although it could be I've just forgotten). I decided to check his stats in day games. There were years he was worse in day games and years where he was better, but over his career there's almost no difference. In night games Dazzle was .272/.319/.386, for an OPS of 705. In day games he hit .266/.335/.375 for an OPS of .710.
My guess would be that somebody pointed it out to him during one of this bad "day game" years, he justified it in his head, and then never changed his mind.
Oh, sure, THEIR infielders can catch pop-ups.
Dazzle implied that Dozier pretty much bailed on the play and left Escobar on his own.
More or less. I was more wondering where Santana was.
Good assist Mauer
Nice camera work on that play guys.
I know it's a good message and I'm all for it, but there's something about the pre-diabetes PSAs that I find incredibly annoying.
It's the math, right?
Buxton catches that
If only we had a good defensive outfielder in our minor league system...
Buxton catches that.
Bryon Buxton would have had that ball.
Bases juiced, no outs. Outlook not good.
"He's a heater hunter."
Sac. fly, but runner tags from second? Buxton throws him out.
That was about a good an outcome as we could have asked for.
but we asked for Buxton
Need to send Santana down to work on his bunting.
Please do not bunt.
Nunez batting like .320 this year and he is sac bunting.
TWINS BASEBALL!!!!
Give up the .338 hitter to bring up Dozier.
And Santana is hurt and out. Oy. Who plays CF?
Kurt Suzuki?
I'm guessing Grossman moves over to center.
Awesome. Way to out think the game, Molly.
He has to know Dozier is horrendous at making contact.
After all is said and done, I think we can all agree that that Nunez bunt will have made this inning.
Just a single, please.
Dang. nice catch by firstbasedude.
Shit. That ball was hammered.
ESPN announcers loving all these defensive moves by Molitor. good grief.
These announcers feel like they'd fit right in on a 15-34 team.
Can you name the 6 players that have played CF for the Twins this year (this is game 50!)
I have a good feeling about this one.
Me too because I was very concerned we were gonna get Rick Sutcliffe, but we didn't!

Hint: Otis Nixon is not on that list...yet
Why is Babe Grossman trying to bunt for a hit?
Who is this Rogers guy? Gambler Jr.?
Ooooh I think we have a new nickname
This game is steadily turning into a NBA commercial.
need a bloop and a blast
*sad trombone*
Free Buxton!
Oh, carry on.
and all our fly ball pitchers rejoice.
yay.
Too late for Hughes.
Now, if they'll actually give him a legitimate chance...
He has at least until Mastroianni or Santana come off the DL.
Not necessarily. If he doesn't hit right away, it would not be a shock to me to see Grossman in center and Arcia in left.
