One thought on “Primal Scream – Movin’ On Up”
This is a high-quality song, even if it's a bit of a Stones pastiche.
In the old Oasis/Blur britpop debate, which was modeled after Beatles/Stones (even if the stakes were lower), I was definitely #TeamPrimalScream, even if I was fond of some thing Damon Alburn had done.
"Higher than the Sun" (and its remixes) is one of those all-time-top-20 songs for me.
I've also listened to a lot of XTRMNTR, and Echo Dek (a "dub versions" remix album of Vanishing Point by Adrian Sherwood).
I first heard "Swastika Eyes" from XTRMNTR in Austria on some German MTV analogue in January 2000. I assume anti-Nazi laws required them to use the title "War Pigs".
I don't remember if the lyrics were changed (because I had nothing to compare to).
