So much for your triple, Ryan Braun!
Hahaha haha!
I enjoyed Braun getting thrown out probably more than I should have.
All due respect to Don Baylor, but Dazzle, the 1987 Twins did not lack "a big bopper in the middle of the lineup". Hrbek hit 34 home runs, Brunansky hit 32, Gaetti hit 31, and Puckett hit 28. Baylor helped, and I'm glad the Twins had him, but let's not pretend the '87 Twins were the piranhas.
Solo home runs don't hurt you.
I'm not feeling very high on Polanco these days
I tend to think of Polanco as older than he is, I guess because he first came up pretty young. He just turned 24 last month.
But you're right, cheaptoy, he needs to start showing something pretty soon.
He's having a strange arc since he was decent at the plate last year. Making errors when you've been a disaster hitting is a bad look.
This inning has turned into a pile of manure.
"I hate manure!"
It's so coarse...and it's gets everywhere.
these aren't the lines you're looking for
Lines? Where we're going we don't need lines.
Solo home runs may not hurt you, but multiple errors usually do.
Maybe with all this rest the offense will wake up.
It worked last night!
Working tonight, too!
Well, in their own special way, anyway.
MLB.tv is stuck in the top of the third inning for me. I keep trying to start playing live but nope, back to the Travis Shaw plate appearance.
It is strongly recommended that you make sure it skips the rest of that half inning before resuming.
MLB.tv just shit the bed, though I see some runs have scored. I'm going back to rolling 'sushi' for dinner.
I love sushi, but I've never made it myself. Sounds great
We just made some the other day. It's a good deal of work, if I had to admit. Usually pretty delicious, though, and it gives me a reason to both drink sake and make fake unagi sauce.
Cory, I'm not as interested in getting "momentum" as I am in getting some runs and catching up.
To be fair, Joe needed a bit more momentum on the grounder..
On the board!
Let's get all the errors out of the way in one game, I guess.
Much as I'd love to see Sano back in the lineup, I'm glad the Twins are taking their time with him. I've seen too many guys come back too soon with hand and wrist injuries. They can play, but they can't actually get much accomplished. Let Sano sit until he's fully healthy.
Agreed.
I was just going to say I hoped Polanco would get a walk. A double is much better!
Rosario popped out on a ball that was going to hit him in the waist.
In comparison to the other at bats in this inning, Rosario's was really shitty.
I strongly disagree with the decision to have Dozier bunt.
And so, of course, he pops one straight up.
Smalley really doesn't think he has the signal to do so
Rally time.
The RFer totally misplayed that ball.
Much better hustle there
So the twins should be up by about five runs by now, it seems.
TWINS BASEBALL!!!
TWINS BASEBALL!!!
I gotta say, though, that was a hell of a heads up move by Rosario there.
A thing of beauty.
EDDIE!!!!
Pressley? But they just took the lead...
I have been incorrect a number of times this evening.
