Citizens: possible wheel bearing replacement here ... anyone have experience or insights? I'm not going to do it myself, so what might it cost? Is there a risk delaying the repair and getting competitive quotes, etc.?

Depending on your vehicle and the shop you use it could run from $150 or so to $500. I'd estimate the labor time at about an hour for a pair, front or rear.

I'm sure many of you remember the famous WKRP Thanksgiving episode. In the place I live, Gettysburg, SD, they actually did something similar back in the 1940s as an Easter promotion. People around here don't like to talk about it much, but here is a brief account of it.

I thought for sure that this incident must have been the inspiration for the WKRP episode, but evidently, it was not. Oh, the world we live in.
Going to Chicago later today to visit kiddo.
On Craigslist I found really good Hamilton tix that aren't an arm and a leg. Still spendy though.
Obviously I'm nervous about fraud. But he sent me his name and a photo of tix and receipt. We are meeting at a Starbucks near theater and I told him I'm taking his photo. Plus I told him I know a Chicago cop (basically true, sibling of my friend). He was cool with all that so I think I'm covered.

It seems like I run into a lot of "celebrities playing werewolf" stories. Part of that, I suppose, is because every time one is published, someone's reading it who knows I'd be interested and links it to me. Still, it seems like it's seriously popular among actors. I wish I'd known of the game when I was around actors on a regular basis; in person, it's a game made for professional fakers.
Cubs claim Randy Rosario off waivers from the Twins.
Only 23 years old. Surprised the Twins didn't protect him.
As I look at his minor league numbers, I don't see anything particularly impressive about him. He hasn't been terrible, but he hasn't been all that good, either. Twenty-three is still young enough to develop, of course, and it's also possible that the Cubs see something in him that the Twins don't. I get kind of attached to these minor league guys, so I always hate to see one go, but based on what I know now I can't really say this is a mistake or anything.
The Twitters Machine tells me the Pale Hose claimed Daniel Palka. Oh well, there is barely enough roster space for Kennys Vargas, certainly not enough room for him.
He turns 26 next month and still hasn't reached the majors. He hit 34 homers between AA and AAA in 2016, but only 11 in Rochester last year (although he was hurt part of the season and only played in 84 games). His AAA numbers are decent but nothing to get all that excited about. There are players who've gotten to the majors later than that and had substantial careers, but not a whole lot of them.
Niko Goodrum is off the 40 man, but still with the team...? Cleared waivers at least.
LeBron Jamea with a ho-hum 57/11/7 line.
