FMD 11/15/2019: Around The Corner

At what time is it acceptable to play holiday music? I don't mean in stores and such because that battle has been lost. I just mean of your own volition.

And drop your lists of course.

    *Notes:
    3. The more famous, and occasionally parodized part. Someone needs to remix this recently re-recorded Yoko Ono song in this style:

The original is in a reggae style fitting the production by Bill Laswell and Sly & Robbie... and wow that is not good. Poor match of vocalist and production. (Remember: Yoko Ono is AMR's favorite Beatle.)

    T. Cover of the Linked Horizon song "Jiyū no Tsubasa", season 2 (or 1b?) opening theme from Attack on Titan

    E. Cover of Elite Gymnastics on Elite Gymnastics's "Remix Album". IIRC, RUIN 3 was an EP-length version containing some of these remixes (but it's not on Discogs). There's also RUIN which is the vinyl pressing of the EPs RUIN 1 and RUIN 2 each on one side. They had previously been digitally issued separately.

  3. December 1st. I like a decent interval between Thanksgiving & Christmastime, much like I enjoy that interval between a big, satisfying holiday meal and dessert/coffee/liquor. There’s residual pleasure in the Thanksgiving afterglow that seems a shame to waste by immediately shifting into anticipation mode again.

  5. Man, Willie's getting old. Immediately after I saw this I thought "I'll never get to see him live"

  6. You can play Christmas music starting the eve of the 24th.

You can play Advent music before that.
