Apparently a tie isn't good enough to win a week in Survival.

AFL report:
Saturday was the Fall-Star Game. The East beat the West 6-5. The only Twin to make the team was Cody Laweryson, who pitched a perfect inning and struck out one.
Andrew Bechtold is batting .214/.313/.286 in 56 at-bats.
Michael Helman is batting .234/.368/.277 in 47 at-bats.
Matt Wallner is batting .276/.386/.569 with 5 home runs in 58 at-bats.
Zach Featherstone is 0-1, 9.00, 2.44 WHIP with 12 strikeouts in 9 innings.
Kody Funderburk is 3-2, 6.11, 1.75 WHIP with 22 strikeouts in 17.2 innings.
Cody Laweryson is 0-1, 4.15, 1.23 WHIP with 17 strikeouts in 13 innings.
Evan Sisk is 0-0, 7.45, 1.45 WHIP with 12 strikeouts in 9.2 innings.
Scottsdale is 11-16, in second place in the AFL East, 3.5 games behind Mesa.
Since it's called a survivor's league, I feel like I shouldn't have gotten a strike for picking Pittsburgh. They didn't lose. Not that anyone here made the rules. First time I've ever played and already hit up by a technicality.
Looking at the Board, a bunch of us got tripped up by the Pittsburgh tie as well.
the bigger question is whether anyone picked Detroit. Because THAT would be a major "win" to count that as a survival.
I know he’s had some scary health issues (COVID, followed by myocarditis), but an average of $15.4 million/year seems reasonable. FanGraphs values his performance in each of his last two seasons as $30.5m (2021) & $29.6m (2019), respectively. Rodriguez was QO’s by Boston, which may have affected his market a bit. Detroit will surrender a third-round pick for signing him. Looks like he was able to make up the lower AAV with some security on the back end in case he has another health scare. I’m not pleased to see him added to an AL Central roster.
If I remember correctly, Ervin Santana received the Twins’ largest contract awarded to a free agent pitcher at 4 years, $55 million; that was way back in 2014. Given their dire need for front-end rotation arms, if the Twins don’t sign at least one mid-tier or better free agent starter to deal above that minimal threshold this off-season, they are giving the people paying for their lovely ballpark the bird.
Yes. That's what a good starting pitcher costs.
R. I. P. Julio Lugo, at the young age of forty-five.
Biggest in grift in sports once again open in Green Bay.
300,000 paper certificates available at $300 per, meaning the Packers could generate $90 million dollars.
I thought this was an interesting tweet thread
So, not to pick on John, but this take is actually wrong and OP is right. Because something catastrophic *did* happen to Gen X and the Xennial's music: the Telecommunication Act of 1996.
The Telecommunications Act of 1996 and the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 are abominations. Deregulation with the ironically stated goal of opening media markets to more competition in reality enabled massive consolidation resulting in media oligopolies. That's why six corporations now control 90% of all media in America. One of them actually has a name that is basically the breadcrumbs of that massive consolidation - Comcast NBCUniversal. Those oligopolies were then given ridiculous amounts of power to control how consumers and access and use the media they pay for.

Tigers sign Eduardo Rodriguez.
For a bunch of money.
