One more day of work today before I head to Minnesota. Work will feel endless, I'm sure.

Today is the Milkmaid's birthday. Because of our impending vacation, she has insisted that I don't buy her anything this year. Her test is whether or not she can be okay with it if I don't. And, of course, so is mine.

Now that I'm trying to figure out when I have free time in Minnesota to see Citizens and CdLers, I'm finding that I have almost none. Sunday the 13th, maybe? Outdoor barbecue somewhere during the day?

My managers missed one of my two submissions for time off for my vacation, and now I'm essentially being forced to do their job and get all of it covered. It'll all be worth it when I'm gone.

...huh. I just typed "The" up there like I had a thought ready to go, but I didn't. Muscle memory, I guess.

I downloaded an app to count down the days and hours until I leave for Minnesota. I have to get out of here for good.

Nobody seems to know the date. Not me, my kids, my wife or my customers. I have to look it up for the CoC and I'm always surprised.

I'm consumed by anticipation to leave this place for two weeks. Work is completely dull this time of year and every day has hit 115 degrees for four days running.
