June 20, 2015: Getting There

I'm consumed by anticipation to leave this place for two weeks. Work is completely dull this time of year and every day has hit 115 degrees for four days running.

  1. NBBW and I are doing a triathlon (Police Triathlon) early tomorrow morning in Carmel, NY.

But, according to the meteorologisti, it will be pouring rain. No prob for a triathlon (you're already wet from the swim), but they are saying there might be lightning...

So it will likely get converted to a duathlon (1 mile run, 14 mile bike 2.5 mile run), but either way they won't cancel. I like these Police events as the intersections/corners are always well-covered by cops.

  2. I'm at a wedding right now. We left the kids at home with my parents.

THIS IS THE MOST AMAZING THING EVER!

          1. 3 outs. No Hitter. Tabata leaned into that HBP too. He's gonna get some deserved grief for that.

            1. I've liked Scherzer for a long time.
Pleased he got a no-hitter and that it didn't happen for the Tigers.
I don't think the red uniform looks as good on him though.

      1. You're gonna...I'm just...ugh!
You know how many starving rotations this fantasy league has, and you're just gonna leave a bleepin blargin no-no on your plate there?!

        1. It's these darn weekend starts (and day time starts). It's not like I meant to.

          1. That's why I often schedule the starters several days in advance because I know I'm not going to have the time in the morning.

        2. FWIW, I believe he's referring to a different league, because in the WGOM league, I did start Scherzer. And it was awesome.

And I do what Sean said too. Especially on the weekends.

  3. Fun birthday party for Sheenie with the latest amazing Wuollet cake and a visit from Mags.

    1. Thanks again for inviting us. It was great to see you and the Mrs. and finally meet the little one.

    1. Cardinals GM John Mozeliak chuckled briefly when asked about Ryan’s America Online issues, but then when he realized it was a serious question, his face dropped and he stated that the team had no comment. It’s unclear at this time what the Cardinals would even want with access to the Twin’s data, but there are rumblings that they were looking for more below-average pitchers to reform into solid contributors.

Green Bay police scanner reports so many ppl have been arrested at the Kenny Chesney concert they can't keep straight who's been booked& not

  5. My nephews little league playoff game is a travesty. Down 8-6 last inning , my nephews team has already scored 10 runs because the other team is out of pitchers. 10 walks in a row. The other team will literally have zero pitchers who can pitch in tomorrow's game without breaking pitch limit rules. The game should be called but the board of directors won't do it.
