January 25, 2025: Toe The Line
I know we're in a brave new world of sports betting, but I still don't what "the line" means or how it works, but also, I don't care.

I obviously get how people can use the keyboard side, but I have no idea how accordionists know which buttons to push on the other side.
January 23, 2025: Proverbial
I'm on my third day of listening to engineering/sales (mostly engineering) meetings between our vendor and customer. One highlight was a gentleman from Texas trying to explain the phrase "more than one way to skin a cat" to the Czech engineers. January 21, 2025: Initially
A few years back, my fair state cycled through their standard license plate format (AAA ###) and moved to a different one (AA ####). They seem to be just issuing them sequentially (AA ####, AB ####, etc.) and I've noticed that a few months ago, they got to my initials combination. Strangely though, I see it all the time now. I'd say in around 40-50% of my car trips, I see one. I was explaining this to Jane a few days ago while we were driving, and thankfully an example presented itself about 15 minutes later.

If it wasn't the Vikings, I was hoping the Lions would take it.
January 18, 2025: Grey Shadow
We lost three great individuals on Thursday: Ueck, Lynch, and our old ninja guard cat Kagemaru. It was peaceful and it was with us thankfully. Old man almost made it to 19 years old. I'm gonna miss that guy something fierce.
January 17, 2025: Vexillologists
Illinois taking a page out of Minnesota's book and having a competition to select a new state flag (or, you can vote to retain the current one). Not much of a selection in my opinion.
