Rev. JeffA,
Thank you for all that you do here at the WGOM. Your constant series on Birthdays and the various minor leagues throughout this hemisphere give us things to look at and discuss when things are slow, and things to get excited about when the major-league team. And you kee it up when we're distracted elsewhere.

October 22, 2012: A Few Comments that Didn’t Make the Banners
I read through all 1900 of Jeff's comments to prepare for this week, and had a five-page (or so) document of my favorites that I offered up for banners. Some other quotes that didn't make it:

October 21, 2012: For Our Padre
In honor of National Pastoral Care Week, we at the WGOM (and I mean all of us, since nearly everyone was in on this as long as we had their email address) would like to recognize the man who gives us endless amounts of content, recognizes each of us as well as our family members throughout the year, and has a calming effect on some of the surlier members of the site (ahem). Jeff, enjoy a week dedicated to your presence at the WGOM.
Respectfully,

October 20, 2012: Unfamiliar
Last night marked the first time in years that I was told I hadn't gotten a job I applied for. Holy crap, I'd forgotten how damaging that feeling is, even though it was stressed to me that I was the second choice and that they value the hell out of me. A few compliments aren't quite the 50% bump in pay I was hoping for, but at least I feel needed.
October 19, 2012: They’re Out
No more Yankees, no more idiotic Girardi-ARod drama. Well, the latter's probably going to go on forever, but at least they're out of the playoffs.
October 18, 2012: A Cruel Joke
Keb Lub is out for 4-6 weeks? WHY?!
October 17, 2012: The Cusp
We're one game away from a great (nearly) yearly tradition: watching the Yankees get knocked out of the playoffs. I'd rather it was literally any other AL team doing it to them, but whatever.
October 16, 2012: Family
My sweet little Sour Cream turns five today. The Milkmaid and I talk about having another one occasionally, but if we don't - and I think that's more likely - I will never feel like I have unfinished business. I adore these girls beyond words.
October 15, 2012: So Unfair
Only the Yankees would publicly complain about five straight home games in the playoffs.
October 14, 2012: Exhausted
Sorry, I can't think of anything else. Big Spookymilk Survivor elimination last night.
