I just found out my company placed me - just ten days before the biggest day of the year - in one of the only two departments I'm not qualified to be in. I'm just dreading going in. I don't want to be the guy who customers see right through, knowing he can't help them.

It's me and Sour Cream today. She's so stuffed up that she sounds like she's breathing through a respirator.

Ah, back to the good old 7am meetings. That'll seem like cake when I do my 11pm-11am shift on Black Friday.

It's all the way down to 65-70 degrees here. I think I'm actually going to miss the lack of winter, and in Yakima I barely got one as it was.

As I write this at 9pm, I have to sign off and turn on a Spanish-teaching telenovela for my wife. It's an exciting life we lead.

My much younger brother turns 22 today. Four years ago I don't think I would have bet on him living this long with the idiotic things he was doing. That whole teenage thing is no good.

My brother-in-law's dog is over for a couple of days. Watching Sour Cream interact with this giant half-black lab, half-pit bull is some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen. (The dog is comically gentle, by the way, which I already knew)
