Arcia's theme song?

Not the best audio, but I've had friends who hate country who love this song. It's the only song I can think of that doesn't have an intro or and outro.

I was looking forward to just looking up my favorite country songs and posting them this week. What I've found, however, is that a lot of country sounds awful live. When you have to scream your drawl over cheering fans, it's really bad. Also, some of my favorite artists just don't sound that good out of the studio.
Blackhawk, to my pleasant surprise, sounds exactly the same. They're not my favorite band, but now I have more respect for them.
Van Stephenson on the far right died in 2001 of skin cancer. Country fans will notice Ricky Skaggs, not part of the band, in the mix here.

If you like guitars, watch this guy. He invented his own guitar, and you can see him go to town on it here.

Brooks & Dunn, the most successful duo in country music history, got me hooked on country music with Boot Scootin' Boogie. So you have them to thank.
It was hard to just pick one song from these guys. But Neon Moon is the first song I ever danced to with a woman. It became "our song" I had with my high school sweetheart.

The Statler Brothers sang a little country and a lot of gospel. They were backup singers for Johnny Cash. I've always viewed them as the barbershop quarter of country music.
The Class of '57 is the song I feel highlights their vocal ranges the best while still being whimsical.

Last time I was guest DJ, all the way back in 2011, I only played one country song for ya'll. I sincerely apologize, so I'm here to rectify that this week.
Alison Krauss became very popular very quickly in 1994 at the age of 23 when she did a cover of Keith Whitley's "When You Say Nothing At All." To date it's still her only song that's cracked the Top 30, though her albums have always sold well, including her collaboration with Robert Plant. She has won more Grammy awards than any other woman in history. Even more than Derek Jeter.
Her voice is amazing.
