ST. PAUL SAINTS 5, IOWA CUBS 2, IN ST. PAUL

Diego Castillo hit a three-run homer in the sixth to give St. Paul a 3-1 lead.

Multi-hit games:  Anthony Prato was 2-for-3 with a walk.  DaShawn Keirsey, Jr. was 2-for-4 with a home run.

Home runs:  Castillo (1), Keirsey, Jr. (2).

Pitching prowess:  Jordan Balazovic retired all seven men he faced, striking out four.  Scott Blewett struck out the side in a perfect inning.  Hobie Harris pitched a perfect inning.

Opposition standout:  Chris Clarke pitched 3.2 scoreless innings, despite giving up three hits and five walks.  He struck out one.

SPRINGFIELD CARDINALS 7, WICHITA WIND SURGE 6 IN SPRINGFIELD (10 INNINGS)

Wichita scored single runs in the seventh, eighth, and ninth to tie it  6-6, but Chandler Redmond singled home the winning run with one out in the tenth.

Multi-hit games:  Andrew Cossetti was 3-for-5 with a home run, two runs, and three RBIs.  Emmanuel Rodriguez was 2-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, and three runs.  Kyler Fedco was 2-for-4.

Frisco scored three in the seventh, two of them on a Kellen Strahm single, to take a 6-2 lead.
