For those of you inside both the "Mitski" circle and the "Hannibal Buress" circle, she on his podcast is the gooey center of that particular Venn diagram.
I don't think I've ever heard the original of this song though it appears to have 1.2 billion views.

I thought of a way to keep myself interested in this for a whole week. If I can keep it working after today, I haven't planned ahead or anything.
I wasn't paying attention, but last thing I saw was a Nirvana cover, so am I doing covers now?
Here is a band that I really dig. In fact, I found this cover just because I wanted to play them this week. The Little Richard part is just bonus.
Seriously, these guys have never been played on this site, near as I can tell. Do yourslf a favor and check out both "Heavy Bells" and "Marigold" and go from there.
The Revivalists are another band that I've been enjoying quite a bit, and their more country take on this Bee Gees song (the best Bee Gees song?) hits that thing where you want a cover song to add something new, and not just duplicate what went before. Anyway, I dig this.
Welcome to Philosofer week. I've got a half-baked idea to try to find videos of more modern artists covering less modern songs. I was inspired partially by Pepper's "Jump In The Line" video. Let's see what happens.
The first entry is Houndmouth, which is a band I've come to appreciate quite a bit. This cover of Dion's "Runaround Sue" starts a little slow, but really gets fun well before the end. Enjoy!
This is kind of live, but completely awesome.
