Blood Orange – Love Ya
Truthfully, I spent this year going through Blood Orange's previous effort instead of their newest in 2016, but I've been making up for that the past couple weeks.
2016
When I first got in Dev years ago as Lightspeed Champion (played them my first DJ week!), he was a nerdy, skinny little kid that could wail on his guitar. It's been fun watching him evolve.
Thundercat -Them Changes
I found out yesterday that Stephen "Thundercat" Bruner often plays bass with Kamasi Washington, which is pretty awesome. I've only got one of his albums, but I really like it.
That bass is pretty sweet.
Abe Vigoda – Skeleton

2013
Oneohtrix Point Never – Sleep Dealer

Digging the new album so far.

Beach House – Walk in the Park
Picked up these guys' debut a little bit ago. At first, I didn't really like it. Then, I didn't really like it. After that, I kind of liked it. Now, I like it.

Waxahatchee – Under A Rock
It's been a fun week in Austin, but will bring it to a close with an artist that makes regular appearances on FMD lists.
2015
Coming up next: bjhess week
Bully – Trying
No hip-hop fans, eh? We'll go back to the usual formula then.
Nashville based Alicia Bognanno is showcased here in another female fronted SXSW performance, though with a little more oomph than our last one.
