Minor Details: Games of 8/16

Lehigh Valley 5, Rochester 2 in Lehigh Valley.  The IronPigs scored three in the eighth to put the game away.   Rene Rivera singled and homered.  Dustin Martin singled and doubled.  Chase Lambin and Brian Dinkelman each had two hits.  Luke Hughes hit a home run.  Liam Hendriks took a tough loss, giving up two runs on six hits and no walks in six innings.

Binghamton 17, New Britain 5 in Binghamton.  The Mets led 8-0 after three innings.  Chris Parmelee singled and homered, his twelfth.  Chris Herrmann had two hits.  David Bromberg surrendered eight runs on eight hits and four walks in 2.2 innings.

Jupiter 7, Ft. Myers 1 in Jupiter.  The game was tied 1-1 after four, then the Hammerheads scored two in each of the next three innings.  James Beresford had two hits.  Alex Wimmers made his first start since opening day, giving up a run on two hits and three walks while striking out four in four innings.  Cole Nelson made his debut in the Twins organization and took the loss, yielding two runs on a hit and three walks in one inning.

Beloit.  No games scheduled.

Elizabethton 5, Bristol 1 in Elizabethton.  The Twins scored two in the second and never lost the lead.  Miguel Sano hit a home run, his fourteenth.  Tim Shibuya struck out twelve in seven innings, giving up a run on two hits and no walks. 

GCL Twins at Orioles.  Postponed.

DSL Reds 3, Twins 0 at Reds (Game 1--Scheduled 7 innings).  The Twins out-hit the Reds 5-2.  Ronald Jimenez had two hits.  Yorman Landa allowed three runs on two hits and three walks in two innings.  Elias Villasana worked three perfect innings, striking out six.

        1. I've found the word choices to be rather limiting actually, but I get 98% of the characters right with a physical keyboard.

          1. the virtual keyboard is difficult at times. I don't have fat fingers, but neither are they petite.

            also, when websites have links very close together, that's a problem.

            1. What keyboard do you use? If it's the stock one, I'd really recommend trying either the Swype beta or Flex9. Both keyboards allow you to "type" by swiping through the letters in a word. It is way faster than the hunt and peck method, and bot hare pretty accurate, too.
