Chicago Bulls at Minnesota Timberwolves 7:00pm

The Wolves are 3-6 on the season, but its the most exciting 3-6 in franchise history! It seems like they should have more win than 3, but turnovers are killing this team (among other things). This is the last of 3 straight games for the Wolves (Wash, Toronto before) and the Bulls are on the end of back to back roadies. Tired legs should apply for this game.

  1. this whole 'bounce pass to Darko in the paint' needs to stop. it results in a turnover 95% of the time

    1. Oh come now, its not like the Bulls can sustain their current 115% shooting rate all game.

    2. Devon Setaguchi is a healthy scratch because Mike Yeo hates him...or he kicked a puppy or something

    1. It has a chance to be a historical blowout. You wouldn't want to miss history being made, would you?

  2. Will someone explain to me what Anthony Randolph brings to the table?

Has Pekovic played at all this season?

        1. There you go! Randolph is one of those long, lean athletic guys who doesn't have hardly any basketball IQ. I think he might be able to develop into something decent if he gets regular playing time and some decent coaching, but who knows how long that will take?
I wish Adelman would play Pekovic instead of Darko more. At least they wouldn't try to run any offense through Pek.

            1. I actually thought about that except a) I really, really enjoyed Gomez's stupidity because he was so happy, and b) I can't stand watching Randolph because his lack of brains doesn't cause hilariously bizarre moments.

      1. Just ridiculous. Wellmen goes after the puck and puts it in the net, half a second after the whistle blew. His momentum carried him in the net, so a Shark just sits on top of him and pounds him like it's an MMA fight.

    1. Once the "starters" are out, the Wolves good players come in and get warmed up and make the game more interesting. It's been a pretty steady trend for most of the season, but I didn't think it was going to happen tonight.

  3. Rubio says he doesn't like it when the fans chant his name. I think he'll just have to get used to it.

  4. See, Randolph can cut to the hoop without the ball and finish- that's a marketable skill that many of the Wolves seem to lack.

    1. And in the interest of full-disclosure, he can also cut to the hoop and get his shot swatted back over the half-court line.

  5. its been a long stretch of stinky basketball (twitter)

Tonight's crowd of 19,356 is third sellout of season and first non-opener weekday (Mon. - Thur.) sellout since March 31, 2004 (Sea).

    1. Sheesh, he should be sitting out after tweaking his ankle like that. It's just going to take longer to heal if he goes out there and beats it up more tonight.

  6. Wes and Darko haven't seen the floor again after the first quarter, I don't think. It's not hurting my feelings any, but some of the guys out there are looking a little tired.

      1. Wes, too. I am a little confused why Adelman doesn't just start the good players and bring those guys in off the bench instead of throwing them out there to dig a giant hole for the team at the beginning of the game.

          1. It seems like he's trying to make some kind of point to someone, but I can't believe that the point hasn't been made already.

            1. When you've won nearly 1000 games, maybe you just gotta try doing it against impossible odds?

    1. Just get Shaddy McCants back here to scare him into submission.

(Everybody remembers the picture I'm talking about, right?)

      1. Yup, first three pictures on the Google images search. 'Course, Korver was in Utah then- maybe Chi-town has toughened him up a bit 🙂

      1. With that name, you should be required to have Beasley on your roster. That would cancel out some of Rose's awesomeness.

      1. The Wolves have played an excellent 2 and a half quarters, but the Bulls played a solid four. At least it got interesting.

    1. It was nice of the RubiLoves to make a game out of it, but yeah, I wish this Rose guy played for somewhere other than a Chicago-based team.

  7. Ridnour's line sure looks like shooting guard stats- 22 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists. Now, if he was just a little better defensively...

  8. I was watching the Wild on and off last night. The slashing penalty in the 1st that gave the Sharks a 5-3 when they scored their first goal was one of the worst penalties I've seen a long time.
