Game 19 recap: Teh Suck

Twins 6, BoSox 7
WP: Buchholz (2-1, 8.87 ERA)
LP: Hendriks (0-1, 6.89 ERA)
Save(!): Aceves (4)
Fangraphs doesn't care that Parmelee got beaned in the head.
I'm sure that you can find a mlb video of Pedroia nearly hitting the cycle somewhere.

4 dudes are tied at the top of the King of the Savers race. It's too early to pick a favorite, but this Johnson is pitching out of his mind in Bodymore.

My mom always told me if I can't say something nice I shouldn't say anything at all.

Culture Club: I stumbled onto ArtOrg's website when looking for a used Fuchs and Lang litho press on line. After a little digging around I found that they're a community based printshop with a focus on education and collaboration. They offer classes for beginners through advanced adults and kids. ArtOrg's projects are often ambitious in scale, sometimes incorporating over 1000 individual artist's work to create a single mural. Artorg also publishes the work of regional and national artists. The sale of prints from their shop supports their community outreach. The next time you're in Northfield stop in and see what's happening.

  1. Looking at last night's box, Sweatslacks got nine outs from 26 pitches.
I think that what Gardy should do is put him in the rotation but not tell him about it. Just every fifth game, "Well crap, Starscream, looks like Ryan hasn't called me up a fifth starter again. Looks like it's you for the spot start."

    1. It would also be best if Gardy never calls him by the same name twice, just so he doesn't get the idea he's really in the team's long-term plans.

    2. I'm beginning to think that the Twins should redefine "starting" pitching. We could have a rotating cast of folks who'll be pitching no more than, and hopefully no less than, 3 innings a night. Matt Capps excepted.

      1. So Starters = Pavano, expect him to pitch 9, and everyone else is in the mix for the next four three* games?
*I mean, how many more years is Carl expecting to pitch? Wouldn't an IP title in his last year be something fun to shoot for?

Isn't that basically what we have now?

        🙁

  2. That print making equipment seems like some serious business. I guess I never realized how much effort goes into that particular discipline.

    1. It's not for the feint of heart. I just talked to the director of that place on the phone about his presses. The 3 ton behemoth is a relic of a long dead printing era. If you're looking closely enough you can see that the press has handles on each side to drive the press bed. That's some serious labor. My press is small, and features a gear reduction which makes it feather light to print.
