      1. It took me a while to figure it out too, bS. Plus, I just watched Thor last night and I didn't see any homeruns.

    1. If we're going with an Avengers theme, I vote for Plouffe as Hulk since all he does is hit home runs and then we could say "Plouffe, Smash!"

        1. Folks come to see the hulk smash, but they'll stick around for witty banter from Bruce Banner.

  1. Happy Father's Day, all. Hope you can enjoy it by watching/listening to the Twins win with your kid(s).

    1. I second this emotion. I forgot to mention Father's Day in the CoC...I don't know what it is about me missing those holidays when I set these up the night before, even when I've been looking forward to them.

  2. It looks like the wife got me one of these for Father's Day. I Imagine it is a better idea than the actual product. I will provide updates when I work up the courage to try it.

    1. The only thing I can think of that is risky is the bacon. It all depends on how they used it. I have seen a method that involves removing some of the fermented product and steeping the bacon while skimming off the fat that should work pretty good. As long as they kept that fat out of there, it should at least be drinkable. Also, the smoked malts will probably dominate anyway.

      Still, definitely an interesting concept.

      1. Yeah, I dug it...one time. It was a fun novelty and I kicked back and drank it with one of my best friends when I was in Minnesota, but it's not a well I have to go back to at that price.

      2. As far as I recall from spending time on BA, Rogue tends to have a bias against them, for some reason.

  3. We went to a Madison Mallards game last night and it was the third tenth inning win we've gone to in a row. The best part is that they did it using Twin's baseball. They tied it in the eighth on a wild pitch and scored the winning run by beating out a double play ball.

To finish off father's day weekend, we're going to A terrific place in downtown Madison that happens to have this beer as their June special. $2.50 pints? Sign me up!

  4. In the davisville Beer Shoppe, having a Berryessa Whippersnapper (english mild) on nitro. Mmm. Nicely malty and creamy.

  5. Successful last week in Minny, recap:

Got rear-ended in our rental on 35W by the Metrodome, but thankfully no-one was injured! I heart Hertz - they rocked in handling the switcheroo.

Car camping with the fam. at Ft. Ridgely State Park - we do a different state park every year - complete with re-enactment soljers marching around and shooting their muzzle-loaders- New Ulm cannon crew there as well. Mosquitoes were lite. No rain.

Stopped to quiff a quaff at the Muddy Pig in Saint Paul - Surly's on Tap and salads.

Couple of hill run's in Wm O'Brian State Park. Couple of open water swims at Square Lake, north of Stillwater- Nice beach.

Had a nice dinner at Phil's Tara's Hideaway in Stillwater - Grilled lamb chops w/ Greek salad. Talked with Phil a bit - he is looking for a Web-Meister if you are so inclined...

    Grad. party for NBBW's nephew.

Brush with fame on the return flight to H'ford - Matt Blair - he's doing some golfage out here this week.
