GO US
Also, BOO THEM
On second thought it would have been more funny had I used only Canadian born Twins players.
'a new comedy from the director of GOSO'
LOL
SEND HIM!!!
wait, why is Morneau done for the year?
Officially, he's "worn down". It sounds like his wrist is bothering him and affecting his swing.
Gameday had Parmelee's flyout over the CF wall. How close was that to going out?
warning track to the 400 foot mark
Nicely done, Buffalo.
Twins versus Jays? Same as it ever was.
This ain't no party, this ain't no disco
This ain't no fooling around
No time for dancing, or lovey dovey
I ain't got time for that now
are we burning down the house next?
Well, the season is toast.
Twice in two seasons?
Cheers!

How many times has Mauer lead the league in OBP?
once, MVP season of 2009
I am going to come back in two days here and write twice.
I really like Beard Mauer. He needs to Mountain Man it next year.
The two dozen fans in the SkyDome* are thrilled.
*Rogers Centre be damned.
why? are there shenanigans in one of the hotel suites again???
I wish. It would give this game a little atmosphere.
I know of a guy who once saw some action in the Skydome while there was no game taking place.
His name was Chris. He was a weirdo.
So by "saw" you mean "voyeured".
So by "voyeured" you mean "made up".
And by "made up" I mean "pics or it didn't happen".
And by "pics or it didn't happen" you mean "photoshop".
And by "photoshop" I mean "just give me some damn porn".
Did someone say porn?
You're right on cue, Higgsy!
And by "just give me some damn porn" you mean "just give me some damn porn".
It's the best I can do.
That's the stuff.
One more. (Cue the sleazy soundtrack.)
Howdy y'alls.
SpanTASTIC
Spangasm!
and there goes the batting title
Cabrera already with a hit in his first PA.
So Dazzle just said on the radio how Cabrera "deserves" to win the Triple Crown because he's had to "deal with some off the field stuff." I expect the verbal fellatio for the Yankees, and dislike it, but I really can't stand it for Miguel freaking Cabrera. He's a very good ball player, and a pretty lousy person. He could hit .600 with 100 HRs and it still wouldn't make up for that.
In summary: I'm turning the game off.
it's the same stupid-ass reasoning people to use to prop up Josh Hamilton. People who are deeply flawed and overcome their flaws are seen as heroes. People who are pretty even-keel all the time are not special.
I use five-foot staves to prop up Josh Hamilton. Any shorter, and he's likely to fall over despite them, unless you've got them tied too tight for proper circulation.
Great toss, Trev.
Time for a GITP!
Gameday was slow. I thought there was one fewer out.
This guy's name is Dillybar?
DILLYBARS!!
When he cries, they call him Mr Misty.
Plouffe with the sleight of hand.
He's no Cuddyer.
Great call!
How often can a guy with a .100 OBP get a 2-out double?
1 out of 10 times?
Close, but you're way off!
I didn't believe in clutch until I met Alexi Casilla.
So I'm actually overselling him most of the time when I say .100 OBP?
Only if you believe in clutch, and it's not close-and-late.
If it means I can insult Casilla, then absolutely I do!
Who else can boast a nearly .400 point increase in slugging in these situations?!?
Cabrera with another single. All but guaranteed to win the Triple Crown.
When Mauer comes back tomorrow and takes all three triple-crown stats on the last day of the year, MVP voters are going to be really confused.
He is leading the Twins in players that I named my son after. Is that a triple crown category?
He's also the best quarterback in the league.
Remember Tolbert?
I try not to.
That guy was a Tolbertin' Tolbert.
Robertson's still got a K/9 of 9.36 and a K/BB of 1.86. Is he a keeper?
There are relievers I hate more on this team.
I like Fien a lot. His name sounds like new slang. Just not sure how it fits:
I'm kitin like a Fien.
Girl gives up/me the Fien.
Those aren't right.
Dangnabbit, I looked that up. I shouldn't have:
Robertson's still got a K/9 of 18.26, and a K/BB of 1.05. Is he a keeper?
Wait...what?!
Saw it in the same table with the Casilla splits.
Let me rephrase:
"At this point in the season, why am I looking this up? I should have just guessed like this:"
evening, all.
FTLT: i was chatting to the bartender in the united lounge on the way out of buffalo. he asked if i was coming or going. i said the latter. he said, "good, buffalo's a terrible town to live in." i think the locals were depressed by the weather too.
Do you think he said that because he was a bartender at the United lounge?
that could be entirely true.
I laughed.
Orioles win 1-0. Yanks losing in thee 8th. C'mon red hosers!
thee ye old 8th?
Yankees tie it up. Raul Ibañéz HR with Granderson on base.
Cap'n Jetes is on second as the tiebreak-clinching run.
Swisher IBBd to get to Arod. One out.
Arod UIBBd to load them up for Tieixi.
Pitching change. Gotta go.
Matt Carson, the last hope for the Twins.
Okay! Time for Herrmann's firrst RRBIs! Game-winnnninng! C'Monnn!
Tomorrrrow nnight's the nnight for Herrmann!
Take off to the Great White North.
I am not going to be able to watch the game tomorrow. This could be the last at bat I get to watch of the Twins the season.
I'm gonna cry.
See you guys in the off season.
Timberwolves are right around the corner!
I hadn't heard that!
dont forget about the Wild....oh yeah.
Write an entry in your diary.
Enjoy your complimentary T-shirt. See you next season!
GOSO--almost.
Adam Greenberg halved his career OBP and OPS tonight.
Marlins bullpen keeps Dickey from a decision.
Adam Dunn has struck out twice tonight (game now tied in the 10th), one K from tying the single-season K record.
I only care about Adams tonight.
Adam Jones: 0-3, 2K.
Team still won.
Adam Rosales 0-2, GIDP
The worst two season* run in club history!
*tied
The worst thing about that is that it's the worst thing.
More to come next year, I'm afraid.
BSOX: 6H, NYY 14H, 3 runs a piece. if the sox blow this in thee ye old 9th, i blame freealonzo.
i'm entirely okay with them wearing out soriano though.
42 pitches for soriano. not sure what girardi's strategy was there.
Texas-Oakland just getting started. C'mon, A's and Red Sawks!
I really want to see the Yankmes have to travel out west or to Arlington for the wild card game.
then fly to start the ALDS the next day. Or better yet, lose.
Cabrera 2-3, lifted. Now at .331.
2RBI, no homers.
Trout 0-1. .324
Now pitching for the Yankees: Derek...
...Lowe. Bummer
ellsbury saved the game there. i'm still totally cool with the sox wearing the yankees out. to 16 innings and beyond!!!!
So, tomorrow, to force a tiebreaker game, Os have to win, Yanks have to lose.
If As win tonight and tomorrow, Rangers travel East for the Play-in game.
so far the A's are working on it.
ballfour saves it. a's and r's still tied.
A's win again to tie it up in the West. Grant Balfour blew away the heart of the order in the ninth (4-3 on Hamilton, swinging Ks on Beltre and Cruz).
Dodgers got three outs to score one run if they want to make the Cards sweat.
(They also have to score as many runs as the Gints score with their three outs.)
So, is Capps gonna pitch tomorrow?
Dodgers season:
One down, One on, two outs, Mark Ellis at bat vs Sergio Romo.
Mark Ellis flies out to CF. GOSO, Nick Punto and Matt Guerrier
One game left. It's always nice to close out the season with a win. We'll just have to settle for 67-95.

.075 OBP, .065 SLG otherwise
I'd say you're right
