TwinsNate Roberts was 3-for-4 with a double and two walks, driving in two.  Evan Bigley was 1-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.  Caleb Thielbar surrendered four runs on three hits (one home run) and a walk in 1.1 innings, striking out one.

Game summary:  Max Stassi (Oakland) singled in Josh Prince (Milwaukee) with the winning run in the ninth.  Peoria led 11-4 after four innings.

Peoria:  Rymer Liriano (San Diego) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, scoring twice.  Didi Gregorius (Cincinnati) was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring twice and driving in one.

Phoenix:  Prince was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, and two walks, scoring twice and driving in three.  Tim Beckham (Tampa Bay) was 2-for-4 with a home run, scoring twice and driving in three.

SURPRISE 16, MESA 10 IN SURPRISE

Game summary:  Surprise scored seven runs in each of the first two innings.

Mesa:  James McCann (Detroit) was 3-for-5 and scored twice.  Jiovanni Mier (Houston) was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring twice.

Surprise:  Mike O’Neill (St. Louis) was 3-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in three.  Luis Sardinas (Texas) was 2-for-6 with a home run, driving in four.

SCOTTSDALE 5, SALT RIVER 3 IN SALT RIVER

Game summary:  Scottsdale scored three in the first and never trailed.

Scottsdale:  Joe Panik (San Francisco) was 3-for-3 with a walk, scoring once and driving in two.  Chris Gloor (San Francisco) allowed one run on four hits and no walks in five innings.

Salt River:  Corey Dickerson (Colorado) was 2-for-4 with a home run.  Matthew Skole (Washington) was 2-for-4 with a double and scored once.
