Magallanes:  Jesus Merchan (San Diego) was 3-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.  Eliezer Alfonzo was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer.

La Guaira:  Darin Ruf (Philadelphia) was 2-for-4 with a home run, driving in two.  Rafael Ortega (Colorado) was 2-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring twice and driving in one.

Game summary:  Aragua scored the winning run on a hit batsman, a single, an intentional walk, and another hit batsman.

Caracas:  Yulman Ribeiro struck out three in 3.2 scoreless innings.  Darren Ford (Seattle) was 2-for-6 with a double and drove in a run.

Game summary:  Anzoategui scored five in the ninth to tie the score.  The winning run scored on a sacrifice fly.

Anzoategui:  Luis Durango was 3-for-5, scoring once and driving in two.  Alexi Amarista (San Diego) was 2-for-3 and scored once.

Margarita:  Wilmer Flores (Mets) was 3-for-6 with a double, scoring twice.  Jackson Melian was 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run homer, and a walk.

Game summary:  Lara scored all four runs in the eighth, taking a 4-1 lead, then held off a Zulia rally in the ninth.  All four Lara runs were unearned.
