WGOM Fitness: October 22, 2012, Stopped

I did not go to the gym yesterday, opting instead for four hours of yard work, including raking, pulling a couple of bushes and various other tasks. By the end, I had sweated quite a bit. I decided to take my wife and daughter out to a Mexican joint that my wife wanted to try. Scouring the menu, I opted for a grilled chicken breast with rice and beans, which sounded like a good choice. What came was that, along with a large pile of greasy onions and peppers piled on top. I ate about half of the portion and I felt sick. I really violated the diet and for something that was rather unfulfilling. Yuck.

Anyways, I continue not to feel well. I am trying to remedy the situation, but to no real avail. I'm not going to go into details, just check the title. My weight went up a lot from yesterday, but whatever.

In other news, I got my seventh mouse of the season last night. I ran into my neighbor yesterday and I asked him how many he's gotten. He traps them outside his house. He told me that he lost count at 20 but that he's well north of 30. It has been a crazy summer for the damned things. I see them all the time, including one that I saw running around when I was cleaning out flower beds yesterday. I don't know if that's the same one as the one I got last night, but probably not. This does not make me particularly happy. We have a vacant lot just beyond our sub-development and I'm pretty sure that's the source of them, but at the same time, I found a next in my hose reel and another under the splash guard that I have under the down spout.

  1. I went for a jog yesterday for the first time in almost 2 months. Only a little over a mile, but at the end I felt like I even had a little left in the tank, which was a pleasant surprise.

    Also, my kids messed with the scale, so I have no sense of how much I actually weigh. I can probably get within a 10 pound radius of the actual weight, but I don't actually know where I am within that...

  2. I'm up two pounds since last week. I went to the gym earlier, then tried (again) to do my yoga but it's so boring. I don't have the temperament for it.
