TwinsOswaldo Arcia (Aragua) was used as a reserve and went 2-for-2.  Edgar Ibarra (Aragua) surrendered eight runs on seven hits and three walks in two innings.  He struck out six, meaning all the outs he got were on strikeouts.  Angel Mata (Aragua) struck out three in two perfect innings.

Game summary:  Anzoategui scored five in the first and three in the third to take an 8-3 lead.

Aragua:  Edgardo Alfonzo was 3-for-4 with a double.  Luis Maza was 2-for-4 with a double and a home run, driving in three.

Anzoategui:  Gustavo Molina (Yankees) was 3-for-4 with two home runs, driving in five.  Luis Nunez (Dodgers) was 2-for-5 with two doubles, scoring twice and driving in one.

Game summary:  Zulia scored seven runs in the ninth, turning a 5-1 deficit into an 8-5 victory.

Zulia:  Ernesto Mejia (Atlanta) was 3-for-5.  Evan Gattis (Atlanta) was 2-for-5 with a three-run homer.

Caracas:  Yoanner Negrin (Cubs) struck out five in five shutout innings.  J. C. Boscan (Atlanta) was 3-for-3.
