TwinsEvan Bigley was 0-for-3 with a walk and struck out twice.  Michael Tonkin pitched 1.1 scoreless innings, striking out one and giving up one hit.  Caleb Thielbar surrendered two runs on three hits and no walks in 1.1 innings, striking out one.

Game summary:  Scottsdale broke a scoreless tie with three in the third, then put the game away with five in the fourth.

Scottsdale:  Bobby Cassevah (Angels) struck out five in five shutout innings, giving up three hits and one walk.  Slade Heathcott (Yankees) was 4-for-5 with a double and two triples, scoring twice and driving in five.

Peoria:  Cory Spangenberg (San Diego) was 2-for-4 with an RBI.  Jeudy Valdez (San Diego) was 1-for-2 with two walks and scored once.

MESA 7, PHOENIX 5 IN PHOENIX

Game summary:  Mesa scored four in the fourth to take a 5-2 lead, then got two in the ninth to go up 7-4.

Mesa:  Rafael Ynoa (Dodgers) was 3-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.  Jonathan Schoop (Baltimore) was 2-for-4 with a two-run homer, scoring twice.

Phoenix:  Hunter Morris (Milwaukee) was 2-for-4 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in two.  Grant Green (Oakland) was 2-for-3 with a walk and an RBI.

SALT RIVER 4, SURPRISE 3 IN SALT RIVER

Game summary:  Kent Matthes (Colorado) hit a two-run homer in the eighth to put Salt River ahead 4-3.

Surprise:  Darrell Cecilliani (Mets) was 1-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once.  Kevin Segrist (St. Louis) struck out four in four shutout innings, allowing two hits and a walk.

Salt River:  Matthes was 2-for-4, scored twice, and drove in three.  Carlos Sanchez (White Sox) was 3-for-4 with an RBI.
