TwinsEduardo Escobar (Anzoategui) was used as a pinch-runner/defensive replacement and did not bat.  Oswaldo Arcia (Aragua) was 0-for-4.  Josmil Pinto (Aragua) was 0-for-2.  Angel Mata (Aragua) faced two batters, retiring one and allowing one hit.  Dakota Watts (Aragua) worked 2.1 scoreless innings, walking two but allowing no hits.

Game summary:  Anozategui scored in the first inning and led all the way.

Anzoategui:  Donovan Hand (Milwaukee) gave up one run on five hits and a walk in five innings.  Gerardo Avila was 3-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once.

Game summary:  Leading 2-1, Caracas scored two in the seventh to take control.

Caracas:  Jhoulys Chacin gave up one run on six hits and two walks in seven innings.  Henry Wrigley (Tampa Bay) was 2-for-4 with a home run, scoring twice and driving in two.

Margarita:  Eric Berger (Cleveland) struck out six in 5.2 innings, allowing two runs on six hits and a walk.

LARA 3, ZULIA 2 IN LARA

Game summary:  Lara scored twice in the ninth to take the victory.

Zulia:  Dwayne Pollok gave up one run on eight hits but no walks in six innings.  Henry Rodriguez (Cincinnati) was 3-for-4 with two doubles and drove in a run.

Lara:  Jose Lopez was 3-for-4 with an RBI.  Jordan Parraz (Atlanta) was 2-for-3 with a double and scored once.

LA GUAIRA 8, MAGALLANES 3 IN LA GUAIRA

Game summary:  La Guaira built a 5-0 lead after three innings.  Magallanes never got closer than four runs.
