GUASAVE 5, MAZATLAN 4 IN GUASAVE

TwinsChris Colabello (Guasave) was 1-for-2 with two walks and was hit by a pitch.  Anthony Slama (Mazatlan) entered a tie game with two on and two out in the ninth.  He walked one to load the bases and then allowed the game-winning single.

Game summary:  Jesus Cota delivered the game-winning single.

Mazatlan:  Mario Santana was 3-for-4 with a home run.  Brian Burgamy was 3-for-5 with a double and scored once.

Guasave:  Luis De La O retired all six batters he faced, three by strikeout.  Jose Rodriguez was 3-for-5 with a home run and scored twice.

Game summary:  Navojoa built a 10-4 lead after seven.  Culiacan scored two in the eighth and two in the ninth to get back into the game and got the tying run on base with two out in the ninth.

Culiacan:  Emmanuel Valdez was 2-for-4 with two homers and a walk, driving in three.  Ben Guez was 2-for-4 with a walk and scored once.

Navojoa:  Kraig Binick was 3-for-4 with a homer and a walk, scoring three times and driving in two.  Jose Chavez was 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and two walks.

LOS MOCHIS 11, HERMOSILLO 9 IN HERMOSILLO (10 INNINGS)

Game summary:  Hermosillo scored three in the ninth to tie, only to see Los Mochis score three in the tenth to win.  Hermosillo got the tying run up to bat with none out, but could not get anyone else on base.

Los Mochis:  Jermaine Curtis (St. Louis) was 3-for-4 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in two.  Alexis Gomez was 3-for-5 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in three.

Hermosillo:  Jesse Gutierrez was 2-for-4 with two home runs, driving in three.  Humberto Cota was 3-for-5 with a home run.

MEXICALI 3, OBREGON 1 IN MEXICALI

Game summary:  Mexicali rallied for two in the fifth to break a 1-1 tie.

Obregon:  Marco Carillo gave up three runs on seven hits and three walks in seven innings.

Mexicali:  Jeff Mandel allowed one run on three hits with no walks and no strikeouts in six innings.  Luke Montz was 2-for-3 with a double and a walk, scoring once and driving in one.
