Game summary:  Guasave scored six in the fourth to take a 7-2 lead and led 10-4 after five.

Mexicali:  Yuniesky Betancourt was 2-for-5 with two home runs.  Issmael Salas was 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk, scoring twice.

Guasave:  Jose Felix (Texas) was 3-for-4 with three doubles, scoring twice and driving in two.  Zelous Wheeler (Baltimore) was 3-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in four.

MAZATLAN 2, NAVOJOA 1 IN NAVOJOA

TwinsAnthony Slama (Mazatlan) pitched a perfect ninth inning.

Game summary:  Jose Orozco doubled in the go-ahead run in the seventh.  Navojoa put two runners on with two out in the bottom of the seventh, but had their last seven batters retired.

Mazatlan:  Chris Walker was 2-for-4 with an RBI.  Heber Gomez was 2-for-4 and scored once.

Navojoa:  Javier Martinez struck out six in 6.1 innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on six hits and a walk.  Rolando Acosta doubled and scored.

OBREGON 4, LOS MOCHIS 2 IN OBREGON

Game summary:  A two-run single by Said Guttierez put Obregon ahead 3-2 in the fifth.

Los Mochis:  Luis Niebla struck out four in four shutout innings, allowing one hit and no walks.  Jamie Johnson (Detroit) was 1-for-2 with a walk and a run.

Obregon:  Bobby Cramer struck out seven in six innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks.  Carlos Valencia was 2-for-3 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.

CULIACAN 6, HERMOSILLO 5 IN CULIACAN (14 INNINGS)

Game summary:  Jorge Cantu homered for Hermosillo in the top of the fourteenth, but Ben Guez delivered a two-run single with two out and the bases loaded in the bottom of the fourteenth to give Culiacan the victory.

Hermosillo:  Jose Amador was 2-for-3 with a double, and home run, and a walk, driving in three.  Cantu was 2-for-7 with a double, scoring twice and driving in two.

Culiacan:  Alejandro Armenta gave up an unearned run on four hits and a walk in seven innings.  Maxwell Leon was 3-for-7 with a two-run homer and scored twice.
