Tonight is the latest installment in our ongoing series where I use trade machine to try and trade Derek Williams to the team the Wolves are playing that night. My goal is for Derek Williams to become aware of this and use it as motivation. That or David Kahn becomes aware of these posts and tries to make these trades.
I don't want anyone for Sacramento on the Wolves. Ugh. I don't want to trade them their trash for our trash, Evans for Williams; I like Chuck Hayes plenty but not at 11 million and 2 years after this season. Hayes is above average player but I'd rather have Dante. That leaves the following trade:
Williams
for
Honeycutt and Bo Outlaw.
Le sigh.
The Wolves get Tyler Honeycutt who has just been assigned to the D-League and in exchange for the upgrade over Williams they have to take on the player that the amnesty clause could have been named after in Travis Outlaw. In case you were wondering, Outlaw has an even lower PER than Williams.
I wonder if our pal Derek could get sent to the D-League. At least this way he might get some minutes.
The Wolves should be able to win tonight, the game is a pick 'em. Also, if the Wolves don't win, wattsy, you are on gamelogs until the Wolves lose again. Deal?
I think I'd rather have Bo Outlaw than Travis Outlaw.
Whoops. Wishful thinking.
Also, if the Wolves don't win, wattsy, you are on gamelogs until the Wolves lose again. Deal?
deal
Prediction for the night: Kevin Love hits 5 three pointers.
Upper bowl looks mighty empty. And lee sux.
Scaralinko.
According to the pxp Brooks just took a short three.
Corner 3 is the shortest. It wad a corner three attmpt and it was short.
2:45 in and no shots for love? I want my money back.
ooh, that didnt look good for Cousins.
is there a link to some sort of viewing workaround?
Very Important Person Box dot E U
I'd like to say that the Vanguard Inflation-Protected Bond Option helped, but it didn't
edit: [link expired]
you didn't include the x-factor.
I figured putting it live for 5 minutes wouldn't hurt, right?
I'm glad you did- I wasn't smart enough to find it from the clues you left. It's working better than sitting in the front does for me.
you figured out that one too? i found it during the olympics. that which you have a front row spot to still is useful now and then.
Kings with good ball movement so far tonight.
It is the opposite of Wolves passing to this point.
AK can even make
MurphyMalcolm Lee look good.this might be the longest stretch Cousins has played without a foul against the Wolves in his career.
Pek needs to put an end to that.
Dinner tonight: Shipyard Prelude special ale. Mmm. English-style winter warmer. Very nice.
I had a recent birth celebration that wound up with me having a magnum of this. I will enjoy it with some saltines.
Yar. I have almost a decade's worth of vertical lined up on those.
I have a couple of them now. If there is a seasonal beer I enjoy more I have not found it yet.
whoa whoa, recent? as in already occurred?
EDIT: oh, wait, you mean as in yours...?
Yep. Me and Joe Nathan share one.
that makes more sense. i thought that 5/6th of a year progressed rather quickly. um... huzzah!
cherry 7up
I 'enjoyed' two PBRs tonight. Dollar special at the Bon Tomps. I then proceeded to roast calabasas, sweet potato, onion, garlic, and poblanos as burrito filling along with some pintos + bacon. Today was a good day. Oh, and the satsuma infused vodka helped.
Did you see the news about the 'Hawk?
Nope..
Booooooooooooooooooo.
yep.
Someone should maybe guard Cousins.
to me, that was impressive defense by Pek. was out past the elbow, kept up with the driving guard, and then blocked the shot
then got an easy bucket on the other end.
Ak47 can have that drive any time he wants it.
bS, what is the overall feeling in your town about Evans? Is he good as gone next season?
Up in the air. His game has not progressed. He needs to show he can shoot from 18-20 free consistently, and he's got to become a compelling defender.
If Geoff Petrie leaves, they might just blow things up and start over. This is not a playoff team. Not enough talent and too many guys who play the same position.
I have watched more of this team that a lot of other left coast teams. They have some compelling pieces but they seem too eager to shoot as soon as they touch the ball. Their ball movement has improved as the season has progressed though.
Terrible chemistry, except when they run the offensetthrthrough Chuck.
Brad Miller looks like he does not want to do this interview
with the ballcap on, he looks like my friend, but 2 feet taller
You have a 5 ft tall friend?
maybe Robbie Inc is a really short dude
Threesome!
Pretty break.
Ever played a pick-up game of basketball where your team kept trying to get the ball to the worst player so he could maybe score some points?
That's what Malcolm Lee playing on offense reminds me of.
I thought you were talking about Grinnell for a minute there.
Heh, yeah. Shoot more, that's the answer!
Finishing strong once Luke is out.
this is sloppy
Looks like we already have more interest in tonight's game that the last game against GSW.
I can make that happen all by myself. I get blacked out on GS games, the bastards.
Is it bad that I get all excited whenever AK47 gets the ball?
after years of seeing Wes Johnson and Mark Madsen....its not a bad thing.
How excited are you getting?
If I'm not careful, my Shveddy Balls will turn blue.
Chuck Hayes has a big butt.
You can only hope to contain Cunningham.
Nice follow by DC Ham. I like watching him play.
Cunningham is here to clean up Lee's brutalness on offense.
whats up with the locomotive horn blowing after a made basket? is this game being played at Purdue?
That is Sleep Train's trademark.
I feel like that wouldn't help sleep.
Marcus Thornton is sac's best player.
AK using his dragon-eyes to find Pek with that pass.
OMG! Seriously! Kirilenko is the smartest effer out there.
Booo!
Some salty language during commercials on the Kings half time broadcast.
And no, I don't know why Deron Williams is doing commercials during Kings games.
oooh..what was said?
I think friggen is a little salty for tv.
Indiana is CRUSHING UNC on the 4ltr
yeah, beatdown city
Looks like the B1G about to go up 4-2 for the first night of the Challenge.
Va Tech posting 95 on Iowa is a bit of a shocker.
Let me ask, what do people with children think is an acceptable temperature for the thermostat in winter?
We set ours at 68, which I think is too damn warm. But, the trinket is comfortable, so my cheapness takes a back seat.
I haven't taught the Calf the words warm or cold yet. Mrs. Buffalo on the other hand, she sure knows the word freezing.
That's why I learned the word blanket very quickly when we first bought the house.
62. 80 in the summer.
To be fair, thermostat is downstairs. It's a few degrees warmer upstairs. But I have not yet turned the heat on.
Mine is set at 65. I'm cheaper than cheaptoy. Kids haven't complained about it, ever. Wife complains, quite often.
Mine will, hopefully, go back to 62 when there are no babies in the house. I likes me some cold and savings.
I am at 62 currently and I haven't heard the end of it. When I was a single man the heat never went above 60.
yeah, i'm of a mind for that, but with the boy i'll compromise to somewhere around 65ish+.
Wife complains when I turn it UP to 65.
Wife adds that she "knowsthe value of wool socks"
a charge and a block on the same play? wow
...what?
Is that in relation to Lee making a three?
Malcolm Lee is hitting shots tonight. wow
I refuse to believe Kevin Love would miss a shot that badly without getting fouled.
Threesome! Big Love!
Big Love, I kinda like that song!
as an appreciator of music, dear lord, that song is awful. as a guitarist, dear lord, that one version of it is effing amazing.
I am ashamed to say I own The Dance album, but I havent listened to it in over 10 years. I guess I didnt have enough heart to give it away
in danger of losing what little credibility i have, the dance isn't half bad. better than tango in the night, at least. i'll admit that fleetwood mac/lindsey buckingham completely changed my approach to guitar. once i got into rumours, i never used a pick again.
Buckingham is underappreciated.
no argument here.
I dont know when bringing giant cutout heads to a basketball game became a thing, but this pic from the NC-Ind game is hilarious. Louie CK and Big Bird
i think it was this kid's fault. he deservedly earns the credit at least.
Kevin Love is aiming for a 25 rebound game.
Definition of moving screen there.
Kevin Love is aiming for a 30 rebound game.
SHVED
3hved!
i'm still waiting to see how the wolves will lose this.
That will be tough against the Kings.
ye of little faith...
They really are putting in the effort.
Shveddy balls!
Shved! No nerves on that kid!
5-4 and the Kings throw it away. nice
Oh, Love should never lead a break again.
That was not impressive.
Chuck Hayes, low post threat. That was awful.
What is that on Pek's shoulder? One of Palpatine's guards?
its a Crusade knight on top on a hill of skulls
Glorious, that's what it is.
Ugh, could someone please remind the Wolves to not suck at the end here?
Weak foul by Luke
24.
That was a good call. Unfortunately.
huge block by AK there
It got a big hell yes from me.
AK to Pek!
I cannot believe that went in.
How the hell did that go in?
On the replay, it looked like a much better shot than I thought it was in real time. Still can't believe it went in, but Love had a completely open look at it and got a lucky roll.
Yeah, at first I thought he wasn't even looking when he shot it. Still pretty awesome, though.
HOLY LOVE!
Ooof, finally. I hate losing streaks.
That was ridiculovely.
This was a game you have to win on the road to make the playoffs.
Kevin Love at 23-24
only the 8th time in franchise history that mark has been reached
Love had 3 of those type games in 2010
