CULIACAN 3, MAZATLAN 2 IN CULIACAN

TwinsAnthony Slama (Mazatlan) pitched a scoreless inning, striking out two and giving up one hit.

Game summary:  Mazatlan led 2-0 after six.  Culiacan scored once in the seventh, then got a two-run single from Ali Solis in the eighth to take the lead.

Mazatlan:  Jay Jackson (Cubs) pitched six shutout innings, giving up four hits and four walks.  Oswaldo Morejon was 2-for-5 with a double and an RBI.

Culiacan:  Daniel Rodriguez (Atlanta) allowed two runs on eight hits and a walk in six innings.  Ramiro Pena was 2-for-4 with a home run and a walk.

LOS MOCHIS 3, MEXICALI 1 IN LOS MOCHIS

Game summary:  Los Mochis took a 2-0 lead in the fifth and made in 3-0 in the seventh.

Mexicali:  Irwin Delgado gave up two runs on three hits and four walks in six innings.  Jorge Guzman was 1-for-2 with a walk and scored once.

Los Mochis:  Edwin Salas struck out eight in seven innings, allowing one run on one hit and one walk.  Juan Carlos Gamboa (Mets) hit a home run.

OBREGON 15, HERMOSILLO 14 IN HERMOSILLO

Game summary:  Obregon led all the way, but it was 6-5 after two, 9-6 after three, 10-8 after four, and 14-10 after five.  Trailing 15-10 in the ninth, Hermosillo scored four times and had the tying run on second with two out.

Obregon:  Carlos Valencia was 2-for-4 with two homers and a walk, driving in four.  Barbaro Canizares was 3-for-5 with two doubles and a walk, scoring twice and driving in four.

Hermosillo:  Jose Amador was 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and scored three times.  Jorge Cantu was 3-for-6 with a double and a home run, driving in three.
