LARA 11, ANZOATEGUI 5 IN LARA

Twins: Oswaldo Arcia (Anzoategui) was 0-for-3 with a walk. Dakota Watts (Anzoategui) surrendered four runs on five hits and a walk in one inning.

Game summary: Anzoategui led 4-1 after five. Lara cut it to 4-3 after six and it was tied at five after seven. Lara then scored six runs in the eighth to take control.

Anzoategui: Niuman Romero (Baltimore) was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Paolo Espino (Cleveland) gave up two runs on four hits and four walks in 5.2 innings.

Lara: Paulo Orlando (Kansas City) was 4-for-5 with two runs and an RBI. Luis Valbuena (Cubs) was 2-for-4 with a walk, scoring once and driving in two.

CARACAS 2, ZULIA 1 IN ZULIA

Game summary: Zulia scored first with a run in the second, but Caracas scored twice in the fourth.

Caracas: Les Walrond gave up one run on three hits and two walks in five innings. Luis Rodriguez (Angels) was 2-for-4 with a walk.

Zulia: Austin Bibens-Dirkx allowed two unearned runs on three hits and no walks in seven innings. Jose Pirela (Yankees) was 2-for-4 with a double.
