  1. MikeBerardino profile

MikeBerardino 7 more cuts for twins: colabello, sobolewski, Dinkelman, clete thomas, Fryer, Guerra and martis

I really thought Colabello deserved a longer look for final bench spot.

    1. Yeah, I've browsed through it before. Interesting stuff, but the writing wasn't strong enough for me to want to buy it.

  2. Where are we at for keepers and draft stuff for the fantasy baseball league? Can we see the keepers soon, so as to plan for the draft (plan... hah. It won't matter!).

      1. Wasn't sure we were sticking with that for the draft time. I think it works for me.

      2. I can't make it at that time. If we could move it back an hour or more, that would be great.

        1. I am also cool with moving it back an hour. But if it's "more" then a lot more would be preferred (8 or later central).

          1. I'm cool with an hour. If it's 8 or later, then I would prefer moving it back to Saturday.

    1. Now that I actually read and think about what you said, I agree. Being able to see whose been reserved already would be useful.

      1. There were a couple of people who hadn't gotten me their picks or submitted invalid ones (can of corn - please check your email!!), so I'm still approving the keepers. After that, I'll lock those players so you can browse the player pool. Alternatively, all of the kept players are visible on the spreadsheet (look in column 2012 keepers for the X).

As for the draft, I am fine moving it, but I'm not sure what would be best for everyone. I'll make a poll tonight and post the link on the league site.

  3. The Wolves quest for a top 5 pick continues tonight against one of the teams ahead of them in the sweepstakes. With that in mind, I fully expect a Wolves win.

  4. H Jon Benjamin (the voice of Archer) is voicing a Coke Zero commercial that will probably air 750 times during the basketball tourney. awesome

  5. Turkey Tubby failed his way into the NCAAs (11 seed playing UCLA) and a $100,000 bonus.

    1. UCLA is very beatable. That's a good spot for the Goofs. Too bad about Florida in the second round, however.

run up a flag on the pole to spooky for an invite. He's the commish. Yo, spoons!

  6. Indiana 1 seed
    Michigan 4 seed
    Wisconsin 5 seed
Wisconsin's record vs. Indiana & Michigan 4- 0. I know it's a lot more involved than that, I just find it amusing.

  7. Sweet Lou Amundson is playing for New Orleans. And he is getting 1st quarter minutes

  8. Sounds like Teixeira will be out for the first couple months of the season at least. I wonder what the Yankees would offer the Twins for one season of Morneau? Especially if they put more weight on what he's doing this spring than what he did last year.

    1. do they have anything in their farm system?

they tried to coax Derek Lee out of retirement, so they sound pretty desperate

      1. BA's Top 100 list has four Yankees, but three are outfielders. The other is a catcher, Gary Sanchez (No. 57). He was 19 when he made it to the FSL last year.

        1. I've been maintaining the cosmic balance. Tri-tip last night at home. Friday night I had a 16-oz NY strip (ok, I lied; I only ate about 13 oz of it).

            1. If it makes you feel any better, I had 3 oysters, 3 super-jumbo shrimp, and about a third of a lobster tail before I got to the steak. But the steak was overcooked.

                1. It was a crime against nature. Dry-aged, prime beef, cooked to medium. I was offended. Of course, since someone else was picking up the tab, I wasn't THAT offended. I also ordered and ate dessert.

for the salad course, I ordered an iceberg wedge w/blue cheese. Got an entire head of lettuce, the size of a small canteloupe. #conspicuousconsumption

                  1. since someone else was picking up the tab

Are you from New England? (loves them some free food)

              1. Twas once wandering around Tokyo, hungry for lunch. I found a place that had an minimalist menu.

I kept asking the dude for a more detailed menu and he kept pointing to the chalkboard one that had a single dish.

I finally figured out that there was only one item for lunch - Broiled Oysters - I ordered it and it was fab.
