Batting stars: Chris Colabello was 3-for-5 with an RBI. Antoan Richardson was 2-for-5.
Pitching stars: Anthony Slama struck out two in two shutout innings, giving up a hit and a walk. Aaron Thompson struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up one hit. Luis Perdomo gave up one hit in a scoreless inning.
Opposition stars: Ben Guez was 4-for-4 with a double and two home runs, scoring three times and driving in three. Argenis Diaz was 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI. Danny Dorn was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring twice and driving in two.
Key inning: The third. Leading 2-0, the Mud Hens scored four times to take control of the game. With two out and none on, Nick Castellanos and Dorn singled, followed by back-to-back home runs by Mike Cervenak and Guez. The runs came off Cole DeVries, who again struggled, giving up eight runs on eight hits and three walks in 3.1 innings.
DAYTONA 9, FORT MYERS 6 IN DAYTONA
Batting stars: Andy Leer was 2-for-4 with two doubles and scored once. Matt Koch was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.

Opposition stars: Javier Baez was 4-for-4 with four home runs and seven RBIs.
Key inning: The fifth. Trailing 5-2, Stephen Wickens and Leer opened the inning with consecutive doubles, followed by a Aderlin Mejia single to cut the lead to 5-4. In the bottom of the inning, the Cubs opened the inning with a walk and a single, followed by a three-run homer by Baez to put Daytona up 8-4.
CEDAR RAPIDS 6, KANE COUNTY 2 IN CEDAR RAPIDS
Batting stars: Byron Buxton was 3-for-4 with a double and a triple, scoring once and driving in three. Adam Brett Walker II was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once and driving in one.
Pitching star: Mason Melotakis pitched seven shutout innings, giving up four hits and three walks.
Opposition stars: Rock Shoulders was 2-for-4 with a double, scoring once. Oliver Zapata was 2-for-3 and scored once.
Key inning: The fifth. The Kernels led 1-0. Tyler Grimes led off with a walk, followed by singles by Michael Quesada and Candido Pimentel to load the bases. Buxton then unloaded them with a three-run double, took third on a ground out, and scored on a Jorge Polanco single to make the score 5-0.
