The Red Wings win in the tenth for the second straight day.  A big day for Eddie Rosario.  A walkoff for Adonis Pacheco.

ROCHESTER 3, PAWTUCKET 2 IN ROCHESTER (10 INNINGS)

Batting stars:  Chris Colabello was 1-for-4 with a walk.  Chris Herrmann was 0-forr-2 with thrree walks.

Pitching stars:  Logan Darnell pitched seven innings, giving up one run on five hits and two walks.  Cody Eppley pitched a perfect inning with a strikeout.

Opposition stars:  Steven Wright struck out six in seven innings, allowing two hits and three walks.  Xander Bogaerts was 2-for-3 with a walk.  Jackie Bradley Jr. was 1-for-2 with three walks and scored once.

Key inning:  The tenth.  The score was tied at one.  In the top of the inning, a walk, a single, and a squeeze bunt put Pawtucket up 2-1.  In the bottom half, a pair of walks put runners on first and second with two out.  Jeff Clement singled in the tying run.  A walk loaded the bases and an error brought in the winning run.

Prospect watch:  Antoan Richardson was 0-for-3 with a walk.

NEW BRITAIN 9, PORTLAND 4 IN PORTLAND

Batting stars:  Eddie Rosario was 2-for-4 with a walk, a double, and a home run (his first), scoring three times and driving in two.  Josmil Pinto was 2-for-5 with a double and a home run (his thirteenth), driving in three.  Nate Hanson was 2-for-5 with a double, scoring once and driving in two.

Pitching stars:  D. J. Baxendale pitched five shutout innings, giving up three hits and no walks.  Edgar Ibarra gave up two shutout innings, giving up one hit.

Opposition stars:  Miguel Celestino pitched three shutout innings, allowing no hits and two walks.  Garin Cecchini was 3-for-4 with a double and scored once.  J. C. Linares was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

Key inning:  The fourth.  Already leading 3-0, the Rock Cats scored five times.  Danny Santana had an RBI double, Hanson had a two-run double, and Pinto hit a two-run homer.

Prospect watch:  Miguel Sano was 0-for-4 with a walk.

Batting stars:  Levi Michael was 2-for-3 with a walk and a home run, his third.  Aderlin Mejia was 2-for-5 with a double and scored once.

Pitching star:  Adrian Salcedo pitched a scoreless inning, giving up one hit.

Opposition stars:  Jayce Boyd was 2-for-5 with a home run and scored twice.  Gilbert Gomez was 2-for-4 with a double.  Kevin Plawecki was 2-for-3, scoring once and driving in one.

Key inning:  The fifth.  The Miracle had scored in the fourth to cut the lead to 4-3.  The Mets answered with a single, a walk, another single, and a bases loaded walk to go back up by two at 5-3.

Prospect watch:  Byron Buxton was 1-for-5.  Kennys Vargas was 1-for-4 with an RBI.  Mike Kvasnicka was 1-for-4 with a double.

CLINTON 6, CEDAR RAPIDS 5 IN CLINTON (11 INNINGS)

Batting stars:  Joel Licon was 3-for-5 and scored twice.  Dalton Hicks was 2-for-5 with two RBIs.  J. D. Williams was 2-for-6, scoring once and driving in one.

Pitching stars:  Tim Atherton pitched five innings, giving up two runs (one earned) on five hits and a walk while striking out five.  Madison Boer pitched three shutout innings, giving up one hit and one walk while striking out two.

Opposition stars:  Matt Anderson struck out seven in seven innings, allowing two unearned runs on three hits and a walk.  Oliver Garcia struck out three in four shutout innings, allowing one hit and three walks.  Gabriel Guerrero was 4-for-5 with a run and an RBI.

Key inning:  The eleventh.  The score was tied at five.  Guerrero singled, went to second on a bunt, and scored on a Martin Peguero single to end the game.

Prospect watch:  Max Kepler was 0-for-5.

Batting stars:  Kelvin Ortiz was 3-for-5 with a double.  Javier Pimentel was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.  Romy Jimenez was 2-for-4 and scored once.

Pitching stars:  Yorman Landa pitching five innings, giving up a hit and two walks.  Tim Shibuya pitched three innings, giving up four hits and no walks while striking out two.  Brian Gilbert pitched a scoreless inning, striking out one while giving up no hits and no walks.

Opposition stars:  Joe Lovecchio pitched four shutout innings despite allowing five hits and two walks.  Derrick Loveless was 2-for-4.

Key inning:  The third.  It was a scoreless tie.  Singles by Ryan Walker and Zach Granite were followed by an error, putting the Twins on the board and leaving runners on second and third.  A second run scored on a ground out to give Elizabethton all the runs it would need.

Prospect watch:  Rory Rhodes was 0-for-4.

Batting stars:  Engelb Vielma was 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.  Evan Bigley was 2-for-4 with two doubles and an RBI.  Adonis Pacheco was 2-for-4 with a home run and scored three times.

Pitching stars:  Sam Gibbons struck out three in two perfect innings.  Tyler Stirewalt struck out two in a scoreless inning, giving up no hits and one walk.

Opposition stars:  Jantzen White was 2-for-4 with a double and a triple, driving in four.  Wendell Rijo was 2-for-3 with a walk and a double, scoring three times.

Key inning:  The eighth.  The score was tied at five.  With one out, Pacheco hit a home run and the game was over.

Prospect watch:  Will Hurt was 2-for-4 and scored once.  Amaurys Minier was 0-for-4.

Key inning:  The ninth.  The Twins had overcome a 5-2 deficit to tie the score at five.  With one out, Guzman singled and went to third on a Martinez double.  A walk loaded the bases.  With two out, Encarnacion was hit by a pitch to bring in the go-ahead run.
