i know wilco was (kind of) just played, but i'm busy. i opened up YT to look for something to play, and this was sitting there on the front page. works for me.

A great bar debate is what is the better album: Yankee Foxtrot Hotel or Sky Blue Sky. My attitude is you can't lose with either. Bringing on Nels Cline really changed what Wilco could be as a band, and Impossible Germany was the song that demonstrated those possibilities. I remember seeing Wilco at Northrop during the Sky Blue Sky tour and Cline's guitar work blowing me away. Here's my review of that concert:

Cool song - I just downloaded it.
YTF, i don't think it's even that close. don't get me wrong, i love sky blue sky (which admittedly took me awhile to get into), but i don't think it's even top 3.
I'm with Hungry Joe. I wouldn't even say I love SBS. I just think it is ok.
Like I said a good bar discussion. I could at least make a case for SBS. You'd probably convince me a YFH was better.
This is a really hard question for me as YHF was my first introduction to real good quality music, so it has extra sentimental value. SBS has the addition of Cline, which really took the band somewhere new. It's also the last Wilco album I loved. W(TA) and The Whole Love haven't really struck me like the Summerteeth-SBS run.
Boooooooooooooo on wilco.
