August 11, 2013: Showing My Age

Last night after work I watched three episodes of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and my instinct afterward was to watch something vanilla and wholesome like The Patty Duke Show to cool down. I didn't, but still...I thought it.

    1. I found two tall boys of Keystone Light in the locker rooms at the rink this morning. On the one hand, eck Keystone Light. But on the other, hey, free beer.

      1. I faced a similar situation at the place we housesat for. We were welcome to as much of the beer as we wanted. A few bottles of Kirkland's okayish offerings, and lots of Bud Light.

  1. Sano hit a double and a HR in his first two at-bats today. In his 10 games previous to this one, he was batting .351/.478/.730. The Twins just traded away an infielder, meaning they will have to call up an infielder from AAA, meaning they will have to call up an infielder from AA to AAA. Hmmmm.

  2. the Minnesota Twins (52-63) are a half game behind the LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA (53-63)

    1. This is important.
So, Scioscia, you got Pujols and Hamilton and Trout and CJ Wilson and the Good Weaver and you're only a half game ahead of a team that has given significant playing time to Clete Thomas and Jamey Carroll, and has Kevin Correia as its ace starting pitcher.
And I signed you to manage for four more seasons after this year?
