Caribbean leagues get underway with the Venezuelan League, which starts today.

There are eight teams in the Venezuelan League.  They appear to play a sixty-three game schedule, as you play each team nine times.  Assuming the playoff system is the same as last year, there will be five teams in the playoffs who play a sixteen-game round-robin schedule (personal note--I know it'll never happen, but I'd love to see a round-robin playoff in major league baseball).  The top two teams then play a best-of-seven series to determine the champion.

The mlb.com winter league website lists rosters for some teams and not for others.  I'm never sure how reliable winter league rosters are anyway.  Still, we'll take a quick look at the teams using the information we have.
