Sydney:  Zach Shepherd was 2-for-4 with two doubles, scoring once and driving in three.  Daniel Arribas (Pittsburgh) was 2-for-4 with two doubles and two runs.  Joey DeMichele (White Sox) was 1-for-5 with a home run, his fifth.

Canberra:  Jack Murphy (Toronto) was 4-for-5 with a home run and two runs.  Casey Frawley was 4-for-5 with two doubles, scoring three times and driving in three.  Jon Berti (Toronto) was 2-for-4 with a walk and two doubles, scoring three times.

The game:  In the third, four doubles, a walk, an error, and a wild pitch led to five runs and gave Canberra a 6-1 lead.  Sydney stayed in the game with three in the top of the fourth, but Canberra got two more doubles and two singles in the bottom of the fourth to go ahead 8-4.  DeMichele homered in the fifth to make it 8-5, but there was no more scoring until the eighth, when Canberra got five to put it out of reach.  Frawley singled in one run and Murphy hit a grand slam in the inning.
