    1. This may not be borne out by the facts, but it seems like Nolasco never starts pitching well until he's behind.

      1. Fact. Although "pitching well" might be a stretch.

Innings 1-3 opponent slash line: 330/357/567
Innings 4-6 opponent slash line: 301/361/500

OOPS by inning: 853, 1015, 902, 572, 875, 1185. Not bothering with innings 7-9 since he never gets there (five games getting as far as 7)

If he could just start every game with the 4th. And end with the 4th.

  1. Bah, that's two Tuesdays I've blown in a row on a game log. In my defense, I was driving for about fourteen hours today, which is why I forgot.

  2. the last time the Twins reached double digit runs scored was April 11. In fact, the Twins did it three times in early April (3rd,6th,11th)

  3. welp.....

Mauer said he's been battling an issue with his oblique for about a week or so. It had been getting better until his double. #MNTwins

    1. Hmm. He's been hitting better the last week or so. And catchers are always dinged up, and he hit better when he was a catcher.

Ergo: Mauer plays better when injured. Just not too injured.
