Four games on my birthday? DON'T MIND IF I DO
Hooray, Gameday Classic isn't loading again! Now I get to use the new one!
works for me.
Firefox on a desktop.
Nice graphic.
Thanks. It took a while to find a clock face that worked.
The nice thing about living in StL is that I have a team to "cheer" for, but I'm not so emotionally involved that I can't enjoy the game no matter the outcome. Now the non-Angels & non-Tigers games, on the other hand...
Not sure how Chen isn't having a heart attack after that play.
Undead.
Chen pitching for O's and it's not Bruce.
Seems wrong, but we has only an O for 3 years, while a Royal for 6.
Oh right, I forgot there are two Chens now. I recant my undead statement.
With the current goings on, maybe it really is Bruce.
The Human Pez Dispenser FTND
I had forgotten that Nick Markakis was still an active professional baseballer.
He had one season where he missed over 58 games and other than that has been active for full seasons since he was called up.
I guess that 2013 season with a .685 OPS (160 games tho!) led me to mentally dismiss him.
I'm headed to the in-laws tonight, so I'll actually maybe be able to watch the Rs game tonight.
Watch Scioscia make some strategic moves to lead his team to win, just because I can witness it.
I've said it before, and I'll say it again, if you're going to end up walking ii, just hit him
Nostalgic listening to Joe Angel again.
_elmon with the PH double - and UNO, too!
The LEGEND of _elmon in the postseason. Hit a few home runs at the right time and you're suddenly Mr. October.
UNO. bwhahaha.
Delmon of course...
I prefer to think of it more as "the Tigers bullpen". Makes me feel better.
Well, just another amazing 2014 playoff comeback. Ho-hum. Off to the NL.
Never mind. TBS is cool, but FS1 is audio only. Controlling bastards...
The Tigers bullpen is f-ing hilarious.
Delmon with the hilarious post-game:
"What do you do to get ready for those pinch hit opportunities?"
Delmon: "To be honest with you -- check out my fantasy football team, watch some football..."
And pray to God that they throw you a hanging breaking ball on the first pitch. Soria had faced Delmon more than any other batter on the Orioles. Why did he throw a first pitch in the strike zone, especially one down in the strike zone? That couldn't have been a better pitch for Delmon to hit. Soria's lucky it wasn't a grand slam.
oh wow -- an ad using "Life is a Rock, But the Radio Rolled Me" music?!
In his post game pressser Buck just reminded everyone that "Delmon is just 29."
That's why he earns the big money.*
*it certainly can't be because of his announcing.
Actually that was Buck Showalter, what said that.
I was thinking of Joe as well. Didn't put together that Joe Buck wouldn't be on a TBS broadcast.
Well, it does sound like something Joe Buck would say.
Yes, but you would expect a manager to say something like that after a moment like that. For a national announcer, it would be just stupid (which does fit Joe Buck).
And in 1,066 games, he's been worth a total of 2.5 rWAR. And 1.9 of that came in 2010. 0.8 of that came this year with the O's thanks to playing very little in the field. So in his other 7 seasons, he's been below replacement level. He has a career 99 OPS while being a horrible corner outfielder and base runner.
But he is only
2329That sounds like you're doubting his talent.
No one doubts his talent.
No one.
Unbelievable. Perfect idiot to make the quote, too.Strausburg getting raked at bit. Don't know Frisco that well, is that Jake Peavy dealing for them?
I forgot he was traded from Boston to San Fran.
I still think of him as a Padre. Hey! I just realized he's back with Bruce Bochy!
This game needs more Natitude
Just saw the highlights and that Delmon was thrown a breaking ball. Why does he ever get anything other than fastballs?
yostausmus has to keep them guessingAnother former Twin with a chance to be a hero. Go, D-Span.
Watching with no sound (Teenage Fanclub). What's Peavy mad about? Can anyone ready lips?
"Good job Laz"
as in Laz Diaz
but I think he was mad at being pulled from the game.
Is Peavy Roger Goodell's nephew or something?
I hope the whole postseason continues like the first few games...
Aw man, I turn away for 5 minutes and miss a HR.
Harper absolutely murdered that baseball.
Joe Buck (although I think Buck has improved his baseball playcalling in recent years) and Harold Reynolds in the booth should make many fans heads explode.
Joe Buck's play calling wasn't so much in question as his (lack of) enthusiasm was
FOX talking to Drew Butera during this inning, his teammate are throwing sunflower seeds at him. hahah
Puig gets plunked, benches empty
Dodgers rally.
I totes balls the featured image.
MLB.com did something similar, but Sean's is cooler.
I credit hj's World Cup images as inspiration.
Stone Xocoveza Mocha Stout. Wowie wow.
Sounds a lot better than my lacrosse lager.
It's a collaboration with a winner of a homebrew contest that Stone ran. The guy deserved the victory, I tells ya. Not only is it delicious, it's unique.
I'm glad someone deserving won. My homebrew competition experiences have left a bad taste in my mouth.
Deschutes Freshly Squeezed IPA.
By far the most interesting thing at the Glenwood "Grog Shop".
Love that stuff.
I wasn't looking for an IPA, but this is nice.
Kershaw kind of getting knocked around in the top of the seventh. I don't think there's been an extra base hit yet, but he also hasn't recorded an out.
Annnd Kershaw does not pitch out of the jam. Seven runs, ouch.
wow. im stunned
8 run inning
Neshek warmed up in the Cardinals pen.
And he's coming into the game now.
With a rodent of some sort on his face.
Reynolds desperately trying to point out the importance of the sacrifice bunt, despite the 10-8 score.
"This is how I played. Justify it, PLEASE?!"
Rosenthal with the high-test.
Ruh roh.
Why did the runner stop at third on the double? Holliday was going to 2nd the whole way. Not that it mattered.
It was Ellis, the catcher, that stopped at third right? I'm sure he's faster than Pinto, but the third base coach might have disagreed with his chance at scoring even with throwing to second.
J.J. Hardy scored from first on _elmon's double...somehow.
Hoping for a Dodgers win, but heck of a ballgame.
On to game four! Royals up 1-0 in the bottom of the third.
"He pitched the final game, he pitched the wild card, and he's pitching tonight." Annnd that's not excessive?
Tune in to see Salvy knocked.
Not good. He caught 150 games, I don't even know who the backup is.
I hope he's alright. Stupid Hamilton.
Ouch. Did not need to hear that replay on the blow to Perez's head.
I wonder if they'll do anything about the backswings of batters hitting catchers. I don't know how rare it is, but it seems like a great way to concuss the catcher.
Gore vs Billy Hamilton in a footrace?
Royals just can't seem to finish a game in 9 innings.
Or ten.
OH MY GOD
The Royals have ALL the HR hitters
whaaaaat? lol
Suck it Sciosciaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
sadly, i fell asleep during the preceding commercial. how do people ever stay awake during late-night games?
FiL woke me up to tell me i missed it.
We live on the west coast.
You're right on the beach!
Not having children or a career helps.
I timed that right. Got home just in time for the bottom of the 10th. Go Royals!
