Wrong thing.
A press release about my nephew and one other person joining the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
cool. Congrats to him.
can we use this image without getting sued?
I guess we'll find out.
Anyone going to the Twins game tonight?
I went to the four 1991 World Series game and then that epic interleague game back in the Metrodome with the thunderstorm and Tom Prince winning it in the 15th inning. I feel I'm up for another game against those Tomahawk chopping bastards.
I was at that game, too, and for some reason really remember it. Had to look it up to see if my memory had it right...and YES, Gardy did send Tom Prince on a hit-and-run in the 15th when he scored!
I think SBG and Mags were also at that game. Didn't the Twins score 5 runs off of Greg Maddox in 1St inning?
Me too.
Left in the 12th. Listened in the car until I got home. Couldn't catch the end because power was out.
Was also at those 4 games in 1991.
I am going to the game tomorrow night. First time in the Champions Club. Yay for lost seasons!
That doesn't ring a bell to me. I'm not sure I've ever seen the Braves in person.
Sorry about that. Must have been Ubes or Algonad I was thinking of.
Yeah, that was a crazy inning. IIRC, they scored 5 runs in the first and then nothing more until the 15th.
I was at that game! I stayed for the whole thing even though I had a two-hour drive home that night and had to get up at 5:30am for work the next day. Ah, to be young again.

With Prince running on a 2-2 pitch, Guzman drove the ball off
the right-field wall.

My takeaway: breathing causes cancer. 😉
typo of the day, on my Google News feed, courtesy of NY Post:
It would be a lot funnier if two people weren't dead, of course.
RIP, Miss Cleo. If there is any justice, two people's lives were randomly saved during her death.
I was meaning to reach out to you about this.
So was I.
New Citizen, or long-time lurker wakened from your turpor? Either way, welcome.
neither, you noob
Just a dirty little drifter with whom Miss Cleo loved to feud
Was just looking through Design Within Reach catalog (not sure why we are getting it), and they intrigued me over to look at their blog.
I'm a fan of modern houses (we have a slew of them out here in New Canaan). Check out the comment Ignore the crazy furniture arrangement inside.
This post?
The line that's killing me is this one:
I mean, we've all been there, right?
Same.
"It was all I could do not to reveal my enthusiasm in front of the realtor."
Oh no!
Mags, Don't buy that house in Minnesota yet! You might want this job in DC.

He'll have to get in line, I would guess.
