  1. Newbish and I are watching the Dodgers/Nationals tilt. I find myself rooting for the Nationals, but I want this series to lay long enough for Kershaw to get one worldbeater start.

    So... I guess I'm hoping that it's a 79 game series.

    1. Actually, I'M watching the game, Newbish is pretty clearly trying to break my crappy Blu Ray player. I may have to encourage this...

  2. Interesting on waiting until Ortiz makes it to second, perhaps plus Betts scoring, to then pinch-run for him.

    1. That's true, but I can't say that was a bad decision. Down one run in the eighth, Ortiz on second representing the tying run. I'm okay with the decision to go all out to tie it up at that point.

    1. If I'm reading his postseason gamelogs right, he had never given up a three-run homer in the postseason.

  3. Heh, after the Britton debacle, no one is going to get beat with their closer sitting on the bench.
