    1. I'm at at least 100 page loads and haven't seen it yet. If anyone spots it, can they get the URL it's trying to load for me? Everything should work because only images that are available are being used.

    1. But . . . what will we talk about on February 5 when I actually remember to put up a book post? Anyway, you should probably know about this if you don't already.

  1. I'm coming around to the belief that I try too hard not to waste food.
Exhibit 1 - today's turkeywildricesoupwithbrothremovedand-coveredingravy casserole-like leftovers, combined after Thanksgiving and then frozen. I knew they would be bad when I made them, but couldn't bear to through the various components away.

    1. My new year's resolution(s) were to waste less food and swear a shit load less. One of the two is working out okay. (though, I did throw out a bunch of red beans and rice + beets experiment gone wrong...)

  2. Greetings from North Carolina! It's warm and sunny here. No snow (although they got 6" not that long ago). I've been here when it's really hot and uncomfortable. But, this... I could get used to this.

Also, I saw a Confederate Flag today. So, there's that.

  3. Looks like Lavelle called it: Thome, Chipper, Hoffman, Vlad in HOF. No Edgar, Bonds, Clemons...

        1. Someone returned a blank ballot, so it was assured.
          Chipper got more votes though.
I can see someone figuring that Thome & Chipper were clinches so they'd have more votes for other players.
I forget if we'll see whether those who left them off their ballots used them for someone else.

          1. It seems like that's almost never the case, though. It's always some old jackass saying no one should ever be unanimous.

Also, anyone turning in a black ballot should be stripped of their vote, you ask me.

        1. One thing I never noticed about this: Delmon picks up on it a beat before the crowd does. Sure, it's a no doubter, but I'm guessing being a major leaguer makes you appreciate it from just the sound and trajectory the instant off the bat.
