For someone like myself, being a more casual follower of music than I once was, I'm often only aware of things after they happen. I used to anticipate releases, performances, etc. It worked because I was paying attention and knew what was coming up. These days, I'm not quite as on top of things, and so I've no idea what I should be looking forward to. Any great artists with new releases coming out this year? What else are you looking for in 2019?

Big 2019 for Guided by Voices
Febuary 1 is the release of a 32-song album
April 19 release of a 24-song, 37 minute album (this one apparently is similar to the lo-fi albums from the early 90s).
Also in March a couple of EPs and a CD version release of a country album Pollard did in 2018 that was released as vinyl only.
Who knows, they may announce something more for the other 3/4 of the year.
I'll post this once more in the music post, then let it go
My wife and my mom both got me the 3LP deluxe edition of "Stay Positive" for Christmas, so I have an extra. I looked at returning one, but it's $8 shipping to return it, so I thought I'd see if anyone here wants it first? It's $35 and I'll met you somewhere in town on my way home one night. Let me know if you're interested, otherwise I'll just return it.

The same things I've been looking forward to for the last bunch of years I guess! Dear Tommyby Chromatics and the new album by The Wrens. This is definitely the year, right?
But really, I try to take things week by week during the year. I know there's new albums by Deerhunter, HEALTH, Xiu Xiu in the next month or so, and I'm excited to hear those, but I'll probably spend the rest of the month catching up on 2018 stuff I haven't put enough time into, and finalizing my year end list.
I'm looking forward to another year of listening to my oldies!

I'm pretty sure you are just posting the radio playlist from KQRS circa 1980 :o)
I think I would take KQ circa 1980 over all the local radio stations we have today.
Breakfast at Tiffanys - Deep Blue Something
Dont Turn Around - Ace of Base
Tommy Gets His Tonsils Out - The Replacements
Higher Ground - Red Hot Chili Peppers
Drivin Wheel - Foghat
Black Cadillacs - Modest Mouse
Stand - REM
Plateau - Nirvana
Not that Funny - Fleetwood Mac
Once in a Lifetime - Talking Heads
New Frank Ocean would be cool.
Sounds like this should be happening? But hey we'll see.
Was never a big fan, but sounds like Tool finally has another coming out too.
As always with Tool, I'll believe it when I see it.
